@mosphere, the modern dining restaurant on the 18th floor of Menara Tun Mustapha. It is also Sabah's 360 degrees revolving restaurant & bar.

If you dine at the restaurant, you can leave your car to the car jockey then head to the designated elevator to level 18. Then pick your choice of seats among the various furniture settings. From comfy sofas to futuristic chairs.

Try their signature mocktail, Atmosphere if you can't take alcohol. Enjoy the sea scenery or KK city view while sipping your beverage. The restaurant is revolving slowly and it will stop turning after 2:30pm. You really can relax & immerse yourself in the atmosphere here. The lights sometimes flashes in rhythm with the pulsating music beats.

Wowow! I didn't expect there is such amazing place in the "plain looking" cylindrical tower by the bay.

I was pleasantly surprised by the ambiance - supercool. Comfy sofa. Designer chairs. Modern lamps.

It offers a sweeping 360 degree view of the Likas Bay and surrounding. It supposed to be Sabah's only revolving restaurant. However, when I was there (at about 3:30pm on Sunday), they didn't turn the rotor on. Not many people around.

We practically had the place to ourselves, until the arrival of a bunch of Japanese tourists.

If you have money to splash, they offer helicopter and luxury yatch tranfer package, with fine dining thrown in.

The next time I come here, I must make sure that I come for the sunset. They said sunset last longer on higher ground. Should be breathtaking!

For GRAZIE, Marcello’s menu features an impressive line up of Italian specialties, from appetizers to desserts. The Carre D’Agnello is a must-try; a delicious serving of rosemary Boneless Lamb with a mouthwatering sauce. Also other special dishes like, Carpaccio di Tonno, Spaghetti Marinara Combo, and Tonno al Cartoccio (Steak yellow fin Tuna marinated with Balsamic Vinegar, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Rosemary and folded in aluminum foil and baked. Served with grilled eggplant and roasted potatoes.)
For dessert, you cannot go wrong the Fantasia di Mia Moglie (Fantasy of My Wife) – This is a fantastic combination of hot chocolate pudding with bananas. The result? A dessert made in heaven!

Kampung Nelayan Seafood Restaurant is one of many seafood restaurants in Kota Kinabalu. However this has got to be my favorite. It’s a cozy place to be, you’re not just there to eat, but to have fun, socialize, or watch an entertaining show.

There is a cultural show every night. If you’d like to see this, you will sit outside and enjoy Sabah’s colorful traditional dances. You will also get a chance to participate in the show; which is always good fun to watch, and to laugh at ;)

If you prefer a quieter and private ambience, you can request for private rooms. They call it the VIP room. It is like a dining room and a living room in one; there are couches, television and Karaoke set, etc. You’ll also have your own private washroom.

Favorite Dish: Hinava (local food), pandan chicken, yam basket, chilli crabs, buttered lobster, Sabah vegetable, garlic scallop, black pepper ostrich meat.

This is the most famous Italian restaurant in KK. It is always crowded; with locals and tourists as it’s located in the heart of the city.

The staffs are very very friendly and helpful. They always suggest which food you should try. They actually know my name too, but then again I am a regular there ;)

Please make reservations if you’d like to go to this restaurant, so you won’t have to wait outside til someone’s done eating. Most of the time it's a FULL house, day and evening, 7 days a week.

Favorite Dish: Their pizzas. Also fettucine alfredo - classic! and their homemade lemonade :)

This place was simply amazing from the minute you walk in the door! A riot of colours and design - with a huge orange bar and comfortable couches and funky shaped chairs... I couldn't believe I was still in Borneo!! The staff was wonderful and the food was great - and reasonably priced. This was a real treat after eating in many local cafes and in the hotels (which are expensive and lifeless).

We went for sunset - which was truly spectacular - what a view!! After the sunsets, the restaurant starts revolving, which was fun - but the view isn't great after dark -- but it is ok, since the interior is so great. I wish we could have gone for lunch too.. but no time!

I really do recommend this place - it woud be a shame to miss it!

Favorite Dish: All the food looked good. I had the Oyster Shooters - chili lime vodka flavoured - simply delicious and adictive. For my main, I had the grilled prawns, which was served on risotto. For desert, the chocolate fondant cake - simply sinful!! My partner had the lamb shank - which was perfection - probably the best lamb ever!!
