Sunday Market, Kota Kinabalu
This is a MUST DO
The sunday market is on Sunday mornings in Gaya st, in the centre of the city.
It is crowded, it sells everything (yes everything.) Food, souviners, clothes, jewellery, puppies, orchids, birds, cats, sunnies, CD's, music systems, tools, kitchen ware, anything you could want. - and its a huge amount of fun.
It is also hot so make sure you have your water with you, or buy some here.
Located in the heart of the city, the Sunday market opens early morning to around 130pm. They sell lots of things there. From souveniours to pets. Prices are pretty reasonable. You can ask for a discount on items you're interested and usually that's the lowest price they'll go, no further bargaining. Stall holders are nice and friendly, no obligation to buy after asking.
Once you'll stay on a Sunday in KK, just walk to the Sunday Morning Market; you'll find really every thing you need. It's a lively market with many small stands from local people proposing seashells, souvenirs, life fishes and everything.
Every sunday they will open a thousand stalls, all cheaper than the Super Market, and you can less the price too.Best to buy is ''''Dry Seafood''.
