Many creatures of the night inhabit the forest – we saw a red giant flying squirrel soaring 100 meters from tree to tree, a malay civet gently meandering in the wood, a colorful blackheaded pita fast asleep while a deermouse and pig feasted in the night.The trick in the night drive is to look for the reflection of eyes in the searchlight. The Borneo rainforest lodge guide was an expert and was able to spot things I never would. Prepare for rain and mosquitoes

I like this place the most because you can listen to nice music and still have a decent conversation. Unlike some place like shenanigan Hyatt, you can't hardly hear your companion voice.This is a fantastic place to chill out. casual

Along Kinabatangan river: Night walk in the Jungle

A nightwalk to see nocturnal animals is only for those with patience and love for wildlife. Many times, you wont see everything all at once... but the fun and excitement of not knowing what you may step onto (ouch!) and haveing your torch light die on you (ouch ouch!) makes up for the night walk. U can see snakes On trees , monkeys and other wonderful creepie crawlies :) SHOES that cover your feet. Socks. Full pants unless you think it's attractive having mozzie bites on your legs and a thin cotton shirt (t shirts also ok) but for the vain girl, pls skip the tank top as lots of fun creeepies take joy in crawling and falling from the trees :)Insect reppelant on you before going as spraying there is not advisable - disturbs many other anmals that wouldn't have bothered you in the first place. Let them have their home in peace and the way they ike it!

Sampan Bar - Rasa Ria: HaHa! I'm only including this for my photos!

This is a bit of a cop-out... It's the beach bar at the hotel we stayed in! But we had such a good time there!Shaped like a boat marooned on the beach, The Sampan Bar is friendly and casual as you like. They have soft background music, pool table sheltered from the elements and serve snacks during the day (if you can beat the sand-flies to it!). And the barstaff are wonderful - Joey & Tan stayed up well past bedtime trying to teach us Malay - Terima Kasih Boys!x as you like it :)

no music, or cabaret...........just a full moon on a hot steamy nightwe were told not to expect too much, the full moon gave lots of light so mant nocturnal animals hide, but even so we saw deer, frogs and best of all....a flying fox taking to the air and gliding gracefully from one tree to another in front of the wonderful moon dont bother to dress up here ! long sleeved cotton shirts to protect from mosquito bitesdont forget your torch
