The restaurant is a round building that sits on posts out at the end of the walkway.
I loved sitting at the table in the restaurant watching all the little colorful fish swim by.
The breakfast buffet was included in our room fee and it was quite good.
My hubby especially liked the Asian specialties.
Our fish dinners were always quite good also.
Favorite Dish: Fish curry, seafood fried rice, and fish with ginger.

Gayana Resort has a very nice ferry that goes between the island and the mainland.
The ride takes about 20 minutes from the pier at Kota Kinabalu.
The first ferry leaves KK at 8am and every 1 1/2 hour after that.
Schedule is on website link

Watch where you step when you are in the water.
You wouldn't want one of these stuck in your foot.

Luggage and bags: You are not supposed to BYOB to the island but they don't search you.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: It gets mighty hot and humid so bring shorts and tees or cool tops. Swimsuits or trunks are a must.
Comfy shoes are a plus because there is a lot of walking on the planks.
Hats/caps are helpful.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Nothing for sale here on the island. You would have to go back to KK to shop.
Photo Equipment: Bring everything you will need.

There are many beautiful fish in the waters surrounding the island.
You will find the reefs are still in good condition here.
Put on your mask and fins or your dive gear and haave a look under the water.
