Search for flights that land in Tawau Airport. From airport to Semporna, it takes about 1 hour, you can pre-arrange pick-up with your travel agent (when you book your hotel) and it costs RM80-100 per car OR RM30/person if share the transportation. Else, you can take a taxi ~ RM95.
The boat transfer from Semporna to Mabul Island is around 40 minutes and it costs RM40-RM50/person and the boat departure time can be very depend on the hotel arrangement. It is important for you to know the return time of the boat/bus too (give at least 4 hours prior your departure time) so that you do not miss your flight.
