Yep this is the main reason we came here, snorkelling...I found a huge hermit crab off the shore (I think it's hermit crab, I'm no marine biologist~) it's almost as huge as my tigh.No underwater pics though.

  • Trekking

You can trekk to the other end of this island (Sun Set Point) from a path behind the entrance gate.Too bad we weren't there long enough for sunset...Tip:Don't just stop at the signboard, you can go a little bit further behind it and reach a rocky beach.Nice spot for picture taking~

  • Boat Ride...

It takes only 20 mins from the Kota Kinabalu jetty to the island. I must say it's a very bumpy ride. You can buy the tickets at the counter office at the jetty. BE VERY CAREFUL When purchasing fresh bottled water here ALWAYS make sure that you check the seals on the tops (caps) of the bottles to make sure that they have not been broken and the bottle subsequently refilled with tap water....The water here is very dodgy and it can make you very sick...I KNOW ...I was in a hurry to catch the boat and...

  • DON'T UNDERESTIMATE THE SUNSHINE.

WATCH THE SUNBURN Be extremely careful here when on the beach and laying in the sunshine, as the sun is exceptionally strong .. I saw some really bad "sunburns" here..make sure that you have and use a good strong sunscreen..and don't underestimate this tropical sunshine it's much stronger..Especially when snorkelling..

  • AVOID THIS ISLAND

The water is filled with garbage left by the day trippers. The food is horrible at the only place to eat on the island, and the sewer backs up near the restaurant and the smell of human feces permeates the room. The chalets do not have electricity for 12 hours a day, and the room turns into a veritable hot box. Avoid this island!
