It takes only 20 mins from the Kota Kinabalu jetty to the island. I must say it's a very bumpy ride. You can buy the tickets at the counter office at the jetty. WATCH THE SUNBURN Be extremely careful here when on the beach and laying in the sunshine, as the sun is exceptionally strong .. I saw some really bad "sunburns" here..make sure that you have and use a good strong sunscreen..and don't underestimate this tropical sunshine it's much stronger..Especially when snorkelling..more
The water is filled with garbage left by the day trippers. The food is horrible at the only place to eat on the island, and the sewer backs up near the restaurant and the smell of human feces permeates the room. The chalets do not have electricity for 12 hours a day, and the room turns into a veritable hot box. Avoid this island!more
