    Turtle Eggs for sales

    by mary2u99 Written Apr 24, 2006

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

While walking in the wet market we were approched by the local if we want to buy turtle egg. We were shock as turtle are an endangered species and they are selling these egg in the market.

You will not find it but they are some people still selling it. We were told by our guide later that they do sell the egg in the market.

    'Wild' orang utans

People may well disagree with me for this but I was really disappointed with Sepilok orangutan sanctuary.
Having just spent the best part of three weeks in the jungle trying to spot animals in the wild it was a let down to see a feeding platform and rope swings at the end of raised pathways so that tourists could get close to 'wild' primates.
I know it generates revenue for a worthy cause but you can see orangutans like this in zoos and parks all around the world.

Fun Alternatives: There are plenty jungle treks organised by a myriad of tour companies.
You can get to see an impressive variety of wildlife in its own habitat with knowledgeable guides... try one of these instead.
