The Tawau Golf Club's 18-holes course is located in the Tanjung Forest Reserve, Jalan Air Panas... The par-72 course was designed by the club's own in-house designer group of dedicated committee members with support, contributions and donations made by the club members... The first nine holes was started in January 1996 and completed in May 1999 for play... And the second nine was completed for play in July 2001...
The 1st Nine plays to 3,155m from the blue tees while the 2nd Nine 2,749m making a total of a short course of 5,904m... The course is mountain course and is very hilly in many holes... This is a tough course in many respects and one must really managed one's game... Losing more than 20 balls in a round of 18-holes is quite normal in this course... Despite being having tough hilly terrain, the course is very well managed...
Equipment: The clubhouse was opened in October 2007... It has the usual men and ladies changing rooms... A golfer terrace facing the incoming hole #18 across a well-manicured putting green overlooks the dining area...

The Shan Shui Golf and Country Club is often describe as The Augusta National of Malaysia...In playing this course, it is not how far you drive or how well you putt, it is about how you manage the course... With the majestic Mt Tinagat as a backdrop and the Membulua River (with its resident crocodile) that meanders thru the course, Shan Shui is certainly a course that is both captivating and challenging... Designed by Nelson & Harworth, Shan Shui has won many awards including Hole #5 as the "Best Par-5 in Asia" and Hole #15 as the "Best Par-4 in Asia"...
The par-72 course plays to 6,324m from the blue tees with the First Nine at 3,185m and the Second Nine at 3,139m... The aptly named “Crocodile River” meanders through the course, home to a former rubber estate, and comes into play on nine holes... The banks of this small river are natural rainforest and contain spectacular flaura, including protected “Honey Bear” trees, which stand more than 200 feet high... The course winds through rubber tree areas, rare “Strangler Fig” trees, and coconut groves... The site’s highest point provides views of the Suluwesi Sea and across Borneo... All holes except Hole #13 play downhill...
Equipment: Apart from the clubhouse with the usual locker rooms, pro-shop, driving range and golfers terrace, chalets adjacent to the clubhouse are available for golfers who want to stay overnight...
