Though this coffee shop does not have the nicest settings but it's a place where you can find the best beef noodle in town. It's always packed with people every morning and sometimes in the evening. A lot of locals come here for their breakfast. So, I do think you shouldn't miss out and try one of the dishes that the locals have in the morning for their breakfast.
Favorite Dish: My favourite is the beef noodle and I think it's the best in town! You can order either beef mee or beef kueh teow. My favourite is beef kueh teow. Thumbs up!

Obviously specializing in seafood. It might surprise you to learn that I don't eat seafood. Yet this was still the best place in town. Very spicy food. My friends just loved their seafood and I liked my chicken and vegetable dishes.
Oh, it is cheap, cheap, cheap. At least by American standards. We ate all night for about $10 per person.
Favorite Dish: chicken with peppers

Hornbill's corner coffee, Kuching, Sarawak, Borneo
Good value and lot to eat.
This is a steamboat restaurant. So, you pick what ever you want from the vendors, and the waitresses bring the steamboat to your table. And then you cook!
The place is very popular, so go early(around 18.30-19.00) to have a seat. "The early bird catches the worm" ;)
Favorite Dish: All steamboats!!!!

This restaurant looked very attractive and modern. We did not have time for coffee or a meal due to our short stay in Kuching.

The restaurant is by the waterfront which has excellent river view. More importantly, the restaurant has very excellent ceasar salad (RM9, Apr 2009). Be sure you have it when you visit next time.
