The rainforest music festival is fantastic. Ethnic music from all over the world. Set on the edge of a rainforest with giant trees. We watched a flying squirrel glide over the stage.
Generaly the 2nd weekend in July, we book our flights with air asia immediately we know the date. 1 year in advance. Camp permai is a good place to stay but you can only book from 1st jan of the year in question. Holiday inn is also good if you get a family room - lots of people can stay and you can book a year in advance.

An annually event organized by Sarawak Tourism Board will take place at the Sarawak Cultural Village in Santubong every year on the Second weekend of July.
The Sarawak RWMF, which started in 1998, has earned wide international acclaim for its cultural uniqueness. It is a unique festival that brings together on the same stage renowned world musicians from all continents and indigenous musicians from the interiors of the mythical island of Borneo.
The 3-day festival starts with daytime mini shows and workshops which include interactive sessions, ethno musical lectures, and dance workshops while, in the evening, the festival would feature shows under a canopy of trees and the night sky.
The festival site also sets up a variety of food and drink stalls, an arts and crafts area as well as a counter for festival memorabilia, Sarawak souvenirs, CDs and DVDs by the performing artists, all this contributing to a fun filled, wholesome festival experience.
Tickets are priced at RM80 (as of 2007) for a one-day Adult Pass. Children aged three to 12 years of age can purchase half-priced tickets.
