The Sarawak Steamship Company used the Steamship building as their offices and warehouse back in the 1930s. Today it has been converted to the Kuching Waterfront Bazaar where you can find souvenir stalls, a restaurant & an exhibition area. You can also buy some local handicrafts here to bring home with you

Built in 1930, the Sarawak Steamship Building is another historical building in Kuching that was built to cater to Kuching's earlier development as a river port and administrative center.
The building used to be the office and warehouse of the Sarawak Steamship Company. Now, it has been extensively restored and is part of the attractions at the Kuching Waterfront area. Its currently houses a restaurant, a cyber cafe and a souvenier/convenience store.
