Although this area of Miri is pretty dead during the week, it comes alive on a Friday & Saturday night.
Live music is provided by the resident band who do anything from dance to rock.
The bar is the area that i call "the ex-pat's area" & is geared up for such.
This is not a place to go to for the first port of call though since the drinks are expensive by Sarawak standards & i'm pretty sure my vodka & cokes where watered down.
You are better off trying "The other Office" next door first of all.
The local girls come to this area during the week end looking for a good night out & they mix well with the ex-pat' community, but beware of the hookers - some of whom just don't know how to take no for an answer.
Dress Code: None that i'm aware of, but smart casual dress is always agood idea.
Keep it light though since the hot, humid atmosphere can be a little over powering at times.

Miri has always been known to have the more livelier nightlife compared to the other towns in Sarawak. The hotspots in Miri is concentrated in a small area in Survey area and the current happening one is called Cherries Berries. It is has two floors where live music is played, and is usually packed especially on weekends. There is a balcony on the second floor, presumably a place to escape the smoky room.
Personally, I find the music a little too loud and the drinks watered down. But the crowd is there and if you want to go pub hopping, start drinking beer at the local coffeeshop and then make your way here when the night is just beginning
Dress Code: Anything goes

What you expect to do in the forest at night?! Watch fireflies in the middle of the bridge. There's no moon the night and was after rain when i was there. A completely dark environment that you will never experience in the city. A real nice condition to watch fireflies, but watch out your step.

I like to go to this particular pub, I just like the environment and the people who go there. Its a nice place. You can dine, dance or just sitting down. The three places are just close together so its easy to go around. Very happening place right now in town.
Dress Code: As long as no slippers!
