Buntal lies halfway between Kuching and Santubong and is a popular spot for locals to have fresh seafood. The prices are less expensive than in the city and there are many choices to choose from. The restaurants are mainly wooden buildings on stilts with a fabulous view of the bay
Favorite Dish: I love seafood so it's tough to say which are my favorites, just as long as they're fresh. Grilled fish, king prawns & calamari with sambal just to name a few.

Here is a restaurant where visitors get to choose to sit and enjoy dinner out in the open under the star lit sky or indoors shaded. Occasionally strong winds accompany your meal ! This is due to the restaurant fronting the open sea.
Favorite Dish: Buttered Nestum Prawns. It is tempura coated in fragrant nestum.

This restaurant used to be a Jetty point for the traveller to Santubong in the 1980s. Now it is turned into a Restaurant. You can find a mini zoo with peacocks and birds here. Windy ambience with a view of the River.
Favorite Dish: Oyster Omelette.

This eatery is located at Buntal Village just 15KM from Santubong Village. Fresh Seafood at very low prices. There are seasons for different types of seafood. When it is prawn season, then it is best to order prawns.
Favorite Dish: Prawn Fritters. This dish consist of fresh prawns fried in a flour batter until golden brown. Besides this, theres Steamed Fish, Chilli Crabs....Oyster Omelette and a whole lot more...

There are a lot of restaurant along the road. You can go to the many seafood restaurants and its yummy. The famous seafood place will be Buntal Seafood. I will add pictures of the place when I go to Kuching in my next trip.
