sibu town and sg rejang

Favorite thing: Once a person step in sibu, the most interesting thing u will notice is the longest river in malaysia, sg. rejang which is so huge and it is the heart of the activity in sibu, be it logging, transportation, fishing or main source of water for traditional plantation.Multi racials of few etnic group where u can see some will hv their trademark for example tatoo on their body or on their throat as a symbol and their language. Some of the etnic group are Iban and Bidayuh.Majority here is Chinese.Others include Malay and some other minorities etnic group. Get a boat ride to Kapit town and enjoy your ride where you can see some logging activities and see some "rumah panjang" or long houses, well of course you have to get someone who can speak Iban to visit this house hahahaha. If u go to the market, there is so many different types of fishes which is rarely available in the peninsular malaysia, nemely ikan sultan and some others. big prawns are so much cheaper and the famous salted fish, called ikan terubok masin is a definately must try.

Fondest memory: The hospitality, the boat ride, great food and the clean air
