dirty, but pleased after caving

Gua Telinga (Ear Cave) is one of the caves that you must explore when at Taman Negara. Anyone who is reasonably fit will be able to conquer this cave. It is of low to medium difficulty and there are stretches where you have to climb, squat, crawl up and down and slide. If you are from the city and have not tried any caving, you should still have a try. We had a bunch of people (all from the city) who tried it and everyone who did were so happy that they did, because it was a great experience and they felt that they had achieved something.

Equipment: Ladies, if you are not the sporty type or squemish, you may wish to wear plastic or rubber disposable gloves, because the cave floor is rather slimy, muddy and a bit smelly. Long track pants are also advisable, so that your knees aren't covered with mud. Bring along a torchlight and you'll need a guide to get you in and out of the cave.

Last but not least, be prepared to get dirty!
