Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centers

by winniekho

You can easily visiting the Semongoh sanctuary as part of your city tour in Kuching or on your way to or from Batang Ai. Sepilok requires a flight, but is also near Turtle Island, where you can watch sea turtles hatching and making their way out to sea, or you could attend the Kinabatangan river where Proboscis monkeys and other wild animals frequent. Orang Utan knows as the “Wild Man of Borneo”. You will find them swinging through the forest in Sepilok, the world’s largest orang utan sanctuary. In this sanctuary, orang utans that have been abandoned by their mothers, or were formerly in captivity, are rehabilitated until fit enough to be returned to the wild. Watching these charming and entertaining mammals during feeding time is a sheer delight.

Langkawi Island is good place to choose for you and your family. But you must take flight for 1 hour. In here you can spend 2-3 days. Alot of spot you can see. Do some water sport, or island hopping hour is good choise. Dont forget to visit Langkawi Cable Car. It is amazing. For me it is a must to see. If you think Langkawi is quite far, you can visit Port Dickson. This is quite near from Kuala Lumpur. Even you can drive for 2 hours approx. So from morning you can go to PD (Port Dickson) and then evening time you can return to Kuala Lumpur.Happy traveling^_^

Sepilok orangutan & selingaan island

by madMillie

For my fist trip to malaysia my partner & I decided we wanted to visit the world famous sepilok orangutan centre. the whole expereince was amazing. we booked with a travel agent called 'malaysia online'. Our trip started in Sandakan, staying at a hotel on the beach before starting our trip. our tour guide picked us up and took us to Sepilok centre where we saw many orangutans. What i most enjoyed was how the orangutans weren't there as a product for tourists, being made to dance or put on a show but to purely be helped with the rehabilitation process. my time spend there was heart breaking but i got enjoyment out of the fact i had contributed to such a good cause. the surroundings were beautiful and you got the chance to wonder around the park at our own pace. seeing the orangutans was so special, very little other expereinces could eve compare to some of the moments i had there! Once we...

Exploring Kuala Lumpur in 4 days

by putri_jogja

Four days in KL with children, I suggest you to visit :1st day = Lake Garden. There are several places can be visited such as Bird Park, Orchid Garden, Butterfly Park, Deer Park, etc. After Lake Garden, you can go to Merdeka Square. 2nd day = you can go to Genting Highland. I am not sure it is possible for you to go to Batu Caves and Genting Highland on the same day. Genting Highland is quite big. There are two kind theme park. Your children will like to play there. It will need full day for them. Going to Genting, you can puchase package in KL Sentral. If I am not mistaken, it is including bus tickets, skyway ticket, theme park entry, lunch. 3 years back i purchased package to Genting from KL Sentral. 3rd day : You can go to Petronas Twin Tower. But you need to wake up abit early to queue up. After that, you can visit KL Tower. It is also nice to visit. If you still want to visit Batu...

CAMERON HIGHLANDS

by keeweechic

The Cameron Highlands in the Pahang State is about 3 1/2 hours north of Kuala Lumpur and sits 1,829 metres above sea level. First discovered in 1885 by a British surveyor William Cameron, the fame of Cameron Highlands grew during the colonial era when British Planters realised the potential of its fertile mountain slopes for growing tea, then a prized commodity among the colonies. There are still plantations carpeting the hillsides and you can take a tour through the processing and packaging.

KUALA LUMPUR

by keeweechic

Kuala Lumpur, or "KL" as it is commonly known, is the capital and the largest city of Malaysia and is found midway along the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia. The city's past is still very much present in the British colonial style buildings still within the city. The new KL is seen in the modern office towers and the ever present construction that continues to expand and update. The country has also developed an extensive and modern transportation network of which K.L. sits at the centre. To the west is the Klang Valley, where tin mines are linked to the history and development of modern Malaysia. A lot of Malaysia's Civil War was acted out in this area. Heading east from KL, are hills and forests which are the start of the flourishing Malaysian heartland and the Batu Caves.

MALACCA

by keeweechic

Malacca is located on the west coast of Malaysia, about 150 kilometres south of Kuala Lumpur and where much of Malaysia's rich history can be traced. The Portuguese influence is still very visible in the city's architecture. Along the streets, a lot of the facades are very thin because of the tax that was imposed on buildings relative to their width. There are open air fruit and vegetable markets as well as wet markets. There are some great buys to bought in furniture and they will ship just about anywhere for you. Malacca is divided into three main districts, Central Malacca, Alor Gajah and Jasin.

Beaches in Malaysia

by earthflyer

Some of the best beaches in Malaysia are on the islands of Langkawi, The Perhentian Islands and Tioman Islands but I am sure there are many more good beaches on the mainland aswell. One i checked out was a place called Cherating near Kuantan, nice chill out area, away from the big resorts but a good sweeping beach.

PETRONAS TWIN TOWERS

by joeco9

As we missed out on seeing The pearonas Twin Towers the last time we were in Kl we made sure that we made it first on our list this time ,we went to see if we could get some tickets ( as one has to do ) but found that the tour was full for that day but we were given ticketstop go on The Sky Bridge for the next day at 3 pm. On arrival at the towres we first went to a small theatre for a 20 min. show on how the towers were build aftre the show we were ascorted to the lefts to go up to The Sky Bridge half way up the 88 storey buliding , the view were great and ample time to take photos . Tickets enquires can be made on the ground floor. After our tour we headed to the KLCC shopping complex at the base of the towers and with it's 6 level of shop and lots of bargains it seemed a perfect way to end the day

LOVELY KUALA LUMPUR!

by listenandlearn

Our trip to Kuala Lumpur was so much more interesting as our Virtual Tourists buddy, Mr. Chuck (Abdulaziz) to so many touristic, local places and drover us just about everywhere. There are so many interesting government bldgs. and both my husband and I were just so busy trying to catch up with all the rich history Abdulaziz were telling us. We did not expect to see so much of Kuala Lumpur as we knew it would encouter lots of walking...but thank goodness for our wonderful Samaritan Abdulaziz who took so much time showing us and driving us all over K.L. which really we enjoyed so much. In addition to driving us all over, he took us to these local restaurant and we had a very delicious local delicatecency...it was super delicious, but would not try to cook it at home as I know we would not fine the same spices as in Kuala Lumpur.Below are some photos taken with Abdulaziz.
