When you are at the KL...

When you are at the KL International Airport. DON'T take the limousine cab/taxi, they cost a bomb unless you don't mind paying. Take the more affordable one (counter is next to the limo) or ask airport officials around. Taxi fare to KL from the airport is about RM40-60. You have to buy a coupon.You could also hop on a bus (ask info counter for ticket and timetable) from KLIA to one of the STAR LRT (Light Rail Transit)station where you get down and from there catch the train to your destination. The STAR and PUTRA LRT stations cater for Kuala Lumpur and its surrounding areas like Selangor which is adjacent to KL. You save more than 1/2 price of cab but would not recommend this if you have a lot of lugguage.Coming up June 2002 is the ERL (Express Rail Link) from the heart of KL (Sentral station) to KLIA! That should make things much easier. However, cost is about the same as cab only...

Watch out when you hire a vehicle - check the tyres as the standards are not always good.. be prepared with road maps - or you may find (like i did) that you are driving out in the sticks with no way back...

always ask the price of the transport ticket , private boat/bus/car .reach an understandingminimum car rent is 2RM/person extra for luggage.

You don't need a package to do it, simply take a boat to reach it (is very close to the main center of accomodations). Avoid holidays weekends because you may found queue.
