Beware of pick pocket, keep your important things safe specially when u are around busy street.
Make sure to barter: you will be livid if you buy something and then find out later that your buddy got the same item for 1/2 what you paid becasue she threatened to walk out of the shop!

Be careful at taxi-drivers in Malacca. They ask more than 10$ for a short trip from bus station to your hotel. Fix the price before!
