Bus or train from Singapore or Thailand. I'd recommend flying into one of those cities, as I've heard that it is quite expensive to get into town from the new KL airport since they built it so far from town (I have not flown in there, so I cannot be 100% sure). The bus and train stations tend to be centrally located in cities, saving a lot on taxis. Bus (coach) is the best way to get around Malaysia. Kulala Lumpur is the main transport centre on the peninsula, International and domestic flights are very frequent, and this is probably by far the best way of getting here. Trains are also very frequent, arriving locally, as well as from Singapore and Thailand. In more rural areas, the local minibuses are often the easiest way.
