Garbage Curse

by l_joo

Garbage Curse is a warning tip I found quite intesresting but malicious. I discovered this message in a location called Setapak in Kuala Lumpur. There was a low cost apartment with many shops in front main road, the message is placed slightLY off public's attention, therefore not many peoples saw it. I went there to have my Dim Sum breakfast and saw the entire scene so unbelievable that many inhabitants actually just bang their garbage there in irresponsible behavior. The owner of the house nearest to the garbage probably couldn't take it anymore to write this message and place it right there. It looked like blood written from far, the message translated to English is....PEOPLES THAT LEAVE GARBAGE HERE DIE THE WHOLE FAMILY !!!

While being in the oldest rain forest on earth I was glad I had my boyfriend along. Wildness is surely great but to share all the different things you see along the track it is marvelous. And anyway many people can see much more variety of animals than only one ... Which I assure you it is fun to!

NO DANGER

by pascale_paris

Any kind of crime, robbery, and drugs, are very severely punished in Malaysia. As a consequence, it is very secure everywhere. Local people are respectful with tourists and a woman can safely travel alone.

A country of contrasts

by sourbugger

In KL these days, it seems that anything goes. Malaysian women in tight tops and mini-skirts may not be the norm, but many dress and act as they please. In more conservative area such as the North-East corner of the country however things are very different. Whilst still liberal by the standards of some Muslim countries people are very much more conservatively minded here.It is therefore best to err on the side of modesty. Showing too much affection to your partner might not only offend some locals but could also attract the attention of the local (and not very liberally minded) police force.

Add gasoline too much gasoline!

by Sally_chen

I can't remember exactly how much gasoline we added for the rental car. Just add half as the rental company recommended. Should be enough for one day drive. you can easily find gasoline station on the way in case it's not enough.Half of the gasoline we added was left for the rental car company.

"Snorking" .....only strongly recommended

by Sally_chen

We joined the famous norkeling tour , I think it's the only one that everybody follows:Each person pay RM130 including the equipment and lunch. The destination is Payer island. We got at least 300 people on board the big ship, we were kept about 1 hour after boarding just waiting for those late arrive passengers and loading those stuffs. The journey took us about 2 hours , I found the water is not as good as Thailand for snokerling . Not many shark or fishes seen to be honest. The worst things was that we were kept another hour just waiting for loading their stuff again , but this was not easier as the departure as we were under the sunshine ! They are absolutely not efficient and they don't even awere that we were tired after half day in the water and their "not good" lunch .I think RM130 is too much for their service. You d'better try snorkelling at other place but not Langkawi!This...

by dragontml

When getting a local cab, he will surely ask where you will be going and sometimes these drivers can be a fussy lot and sometimes would ask for a flat rate...pls. insists on the meter and if he does not want to, get another cab. look out that he does not meddle with the meter as i myself have been thru this and would not like to have visitors to malaysia to be conned !
