Favorite thing: Honestly, it was my first time in Merdaka Square and I saw alot of picture ops so, I hurry rush out from the car! The tour we hired only had 4 of us. Me and hubby and another couple that were maybe in getting- to- know each- other stage. So, you can see that they don't like to get out at the car and we're back seat so hated every moment when we got off the car because they don't like to..But, I don't bother getting off with my head always bump off with the ceiling....I made it alot of fun instead getting mad all the time=)
Fondest memory: I even took a pic of the fountain which wasn't in full beauty...There are nice spots to take around the square but I have little time that the tour guide would shout at me, TIME IS UP!!! Hmmmm...mind you!=)

Favorite thing: Padang Merdeka - The Independance Square is somehow the centre of the 'old' KL. The huge British-style lawn is surrounded by the Sultan Abdul Samad Building (on the picture, built in 1890) home of the Supreme Court, the Tudor-style Selangor Club and a 100 m high flag-pole and several fountains. On this very same square Malaysia's independance was declared in 1957!

Favorite thing: A long walk. Merderka Square, Mastid James, Sultan bldg, and the nearby shopping.
Fondest memory: The day I passed Merderka Square, I saw busloads of students practicing for the National Day festivities. They were quite wonderful about saying hello and welcoming me to Malaysia.

Favorite thing: Visit Merdeka Square. The square boasts of the tallest flagpole in the world.We are celebrating our Independent day every year here. Across the road you will see a beautiful and historical's building - Sultan Abdul Samad Building. This majestic building is the High Court of Kuala Lumpur.
Fondest memory: Take a walk along the road of Merdeka Square on Saturday night. There is night market there!

Favorite thing: You can't miss Merdeka Square, a huge green expanse surrounded by a mish-mash of buildings. From the Tudor style Royal Selanger Club and St. Mary's Cathedral, to the Moorish Sultan Abdul Samad Building, featured in this photo. You can also glimpse the Menara KL Tower in the background.

Fondest memory: Independence Square (Dataran Merdeka), the centre of colonial Kuala Lumpur, and its surroundings. Most of the buildings surrounding the square date from the late 18th and early 20th centuries, such as The Royal Selangor Club frequented by KL´s high society in the old days, the Sultan Abdul Samad Building, and behind it the Masjid Jamek, the oldest mosque in the city, dating from 1908. It is located where the Klang and Gombak Rivers come together, on the very spot where the first settlers of Kuala Lumpur built their shelters. Just south of there is bustling Chinatown, the main street being Jalang Petaling. The atmosphere there is great both day and night.

Favorite thing: Merdeka Square, home of a very tall flagpole, carrying of course the Malaysian flag. There is a lot of national pride in this country.
