 | Kuala Lumpur Flights and Airline Tips | Tips 11 - 20 of 69 | | I flew from Bangkok to Kuala Lumpur with Airasia and used the same company for some more trips in South east Asia. What I can say is that they are really convenient and reliable, just very slow in check in so, you should really be in the airport 2 hours before the departure. Kuala Lumpur has 2 airports, Airasia departs and land in Kuala Lumpur Low cost Companies, it is not just for internal flights, infact I used the same airport also to go to Philippines. You do not have any bus taking you from the aircraft to the airport, but in case of rain there will be some nice attendants giving you airasia umbrellas. Leave a Comment

KL International Airport is a destination itself. It is unique because it has within its boundaries all that are needed for business, entertainment and relaxation. The airport is built on 10,000 hectares (25,000 acres - one of the worlds largest construction site) or 100-sq-km of agricultural land which makes it one of the largest airport sites in the world. We flew from Langkawi into the old airport at Subang. I am not sure if they still use that airport. It was very convenient when going to KL It is located only 20km from the city so you can catch a taxi for the ride in. Leave a Comment Theme: Airplane

On all of the three times I visited KL,I flew with Saudia Airlines. The flight stoped at Singapore then for transit. The first time I flew there with my best friend`s father operating the flight.(He has passed away now).was one of Saudia`s best captains(God bless his soul). Why am I telling you this??Well I just wanted to say I felt very secured flying with him. This picture was taken from the plane in year 2004. Leave a Comment Theme: Airplane

We flew in with Malaysia Airline and had a very good service on bord. The Boeing 777-200 was quite comfortable and whilst playing different games you forget a little the long flight. Theme: Airplane

The Subang/Sultan Abul Aziz Airport is Kuala Lumpur domestic Airport and is 22kms (14 mls) west of the city. The Kuala Lumpur International Airport is at Sepang 50km (31 mls) south of Kuala Lumpur. Taxis are pre-paid, the amount being determined by the city zone of your destination. Purchase your ticket from the booth outside the arrival hall and present it to the driver. A trip to the city will take approx 30 - 45 mins (unless the traffic is bad). Express buses : run between KLU and Nilai, Kuala Lumpur, Subang and Shah Alam. They are available from 5 A.M. to 11 P.M. daily, and can be boarded at Block C of the car park. The trip takes up to two hours (in heavy traffic). Public transport services in Kuala Lumpur are provided by conventional buses and by 'Bas Mini' fixed-route minibuses. Taxis and pedi-cabs (trishaws) are licensed by the Government fares vary, but the 'Bas Mini' rates are flat. These are used for shorter journeys, and tend to be crowded.
