I noon when he was playing that drinking game with Owen Wilson. As I liked this scene, I also liked our water and we had a funny night with some good food (almost too much of it). It was an easy to go atmosphere, maybe a little too western for my taste, but still good. Maybe the only negative point to mention was that the prices were western too, making this one of the most expensive places to go out in KL. On evenings with live music or after 11 pm (when Malaysians start to go out), try to reserve as the place may get full. And of course, Denis had to buy some stuff from this Hard Rock Café shop...f I am travelling with Denis, chances are that we spend one of our evenings in a Hard Rock Café. That is surely not the way to eat local cuisine, but a good alternative for a night out. One of the things Hard Rock Cafés all over the world have in common is extroverted staff. The kind of Hard Rock staff we met in Asia was very special in this kind and the guy reminded me of Jackie Chan in Shang-High Noon (especially the drinking game scene).
A place I would recommend for a night out. But if your time schedule is tight, go and better eat out local. You can have a Hard Rock Café anywhere else in the world.

Went there again in March 07, surprisingly the band was really playing Hard Rock (what seldom happens in Hard Rock Cafés...), really good music, probably Filipino band, but not sure.
Anyway a good place to start a KL night out.
In other places in South East Asia I often avoid Hard Rock Café, because it is just too expensive, but in KL it doesn't matter, as nightlife is expensive at any place.

What can I say - when traveling abroad and really missing home, 4 days is about my limit without meeting a fellow native english speaker , The Hard Rock Cafe is a welcomed find. With it's familiar food/menu you will not have to ask for any item descriptions and you're guaranteed to meet other travelers and even a few expats. Although in the evening apparently (per my new KL Expat friends) The Hard Rock is filled with girls for hire (a fact that not only had to be pointed out to me, but pr oven, LOL!!!) That being said, it's not as in your face as say Bangkok so it is still a great place to start your night.

Still a great place to hang out for good old-fashioned burgers and fries with the lifeblood of classic rock coursing through your veins. Has housed some great local and/or international Rock bands (performances after 11 pm ) and great atmosphere on the dance floor. General caution: Ladies, the bar area is usually a pick-up place for ladies of the night!! Plenty of other places to hang out for a great night within the night club tho.
Dress Code: Very casual. Yeah, Jeans too!!

These are the so-called Mamak Stalls ! When you are here, I mean anywhere where you would see Mamak Stalls, you have to taste the infamous Teh Tarik (PULLED TEA...) !
