LITTLE HAVANA: LITTLE HAVANA
Right at the tail end of Changkat Bukit Bintang ~ corner lot. Open atmosphere ~ not too noisy (if you want noise, just walk on abit and plonk yourself at one of the bars there), one can actually have decent conversations there :-p Huge TV screen (very useful these days when the RWC's on) with a pool table for those who are bored. Tables are scattered all over the (smallish) courtyard, enabling you to choose where you want to *hide*.
On Friday nights, there is a great Salsa Party upstairs. Totally amazing vibe there. Everyone just wants to dance the minute you get up there. The crowd builds up pretty late (maybe after 11pm) and can get really loca when its crowded !! Its very infectious *grin*
Drinks there are decently priced. Cocktails there are a killer !! Very potent ;-)
Dress Code: Casual smart (whatever that means) and a little dressy during Salsa Parties.
Little Havana: Latin dancing
Cuban restaurant cum bar, housed in a circa 1930 colonial style bungalow.
If you're into Latin dancing, check out the Friday nites latin dance parties - even if you can't dance the salsa / merenggue steps, it's nice to watch. Most ppl at these parties, are usally students of the dance classes available.
This outlet also has latin dance class lessons for beginners to intermediate levels.

Little Havana: Salsa Fridays in Kuala Lumpur
They've got Beginner Salsa classes from 7:30-9:30pm. DJ Lingerto plays Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, some Latin Pop. Crowd packs it in by about 11pm until about 12:30am. This super Salsa Party every Friday ends at 1am (lights on), but they used to play until 1:45am.
Little Havana: Update on Little Havana
Things have changed at Little Havana.
Since June, 2004, DJ Joe took over spinning incredibly danceable Salsa music and, together with Havana Estudio, attracted between 100-150 people every week for Friday Night Salsa.
After the management change in June, 2009, they decided to completely stop salsa nights! Or entertain any calls made by myself on behalf of Havana Estudio or other concern dancers in the KL salsa scene.
In late February, 2011, I received a call from a DJ Domingo who says that they are looking into bringing back Salsa nights. I recommended Friday nights and again freely offered my services. After 2 weeks with no response, I decided to chose another venue for Salsa nights. Because the show must go on!!

Little Havana: Cuban in KL
Little Havana, a nice laid back Cuban Bar in the Changkat Bukit Bintang area where one can go there for some drinks and tapas, have a decent conversation and listen to some live Cuban music from a moving band(on certain days).
It's constructed on one of the old KL pre-war shoplots, so character and ambiance is plenty. Seating is indoor and outdoor with a retractable roof in case of KL's unpridictable whether.
Prices are resonable good as a mug of beer would set you back RM11.00. They have a great cocktail and wine list as well.
Tired of those noises places, this may suit your evening.
