    I am very lucky this time as I've got chance to shoot a picture of Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad during night time. Kuala Lumpur full of light as this time is Deepavali celebration for Indians.

    National Day. I returned from Penang and 11:30pm just in time to see the crowds getting ready for the midnight fireworks near the Merderka Square. The lights and the mix of people near the Square & Sultan building were something else.

    When in Merdeka Square, besides seeing the Sultan Abdul Samad Building, flagpole, Masjid Jamek Mosque etc, you should also have a look at the Padang field and the Royal Selangor Club situated nearby.

    Also known as Merdeka Square, it is right opposite the High Court of Malaysia, Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad. A lot of people, tourist or even Malaysian thought that it is the place Malaysia declare its independence. Well, forget the name of "Merdeka", it is nothing to do with merdeka. The place our father of Malaysia declared independence is Melaka and the place which has the ceremony in August 1957 is Stadium Merdeka. What you see in Dataran Merdeka is the giant flag of Malaysia and the giant TV screen. Beneath Dataran Merdeka, Plaza Putra has its own attraction for those performing art lovers. Actor Studio set up the well known stage for performing artist.
