we took a taxi from Ampang Park to Sunway, cost R30. Loved the waterpark, not busy, and lovely to cool off. Bought tickets online as works out cheaper that way. HOWEVER..once in you cannot get out and re=enter. We wanted to go to the mall for lunch as the options in the park were somewhat tired, however we were told we could NOT return to the lagoon unless we paid another entry fee. We stood our ground and were allowed to as there is no mention of this rule anywhee and our son has dietry issues...but it was tough. Apart from that, we had a great day.

Took 4 kids to go to sunway lagoon for some waterpark action. Was a bit dissapointed initially as it was grubby looking , not very clean. But we were lucky as not much people were there. The place is huge and what made it worthwhile was the price included the dry themepark. Well worth it. The slides and water features were actually quite limited so we ended up doing the other parts which were pretty standard but still basically ok. All in all not a bad way to enjoy with the kids. It's also connected to this huge mall with a nice taxi service since you pay at the mall not to the taxi so no hassle!

Sunway Pyramid is a mega mall where you can shop till you drop.
There are also many restaurants in this huge shopping mall.
There is an ice skating ring where lots of youngsters go there to learn ice skating.
Sunway Lagoon is an outdoor theme park where you can attempt some water rides.
Usually it gets very crowded during school holidays, weekends and public holidays.

Took a drive down to KL this time round to make sure i visited Sunway Lagoon as i've missed it so many other times. I give it 2 thumbs up for the fun and entertainment that is provided there and the place rox!
It has a big shopping center on the higher ground of the place and the theme parks (wet and dry) are located on the lower ground level of the place. I went to the wet park and the fun was never-ending! It has man made waterfalls, long (artificial) beaches and a fantastic wave machine that gives u the chance to surf without going out to sea!!!
Furthuremore, the entire theme park has a 300m long bridge spanning across the whole themepark and gives u a bird's eye view of everything! A definite must go for anyone visiting KL!!!!

Sunway Lagoon Theme Park - We took the train to Subang Jaya, then bus to the park. It was fun and I would recommend this as there are no dramas about getting around safely. The park itself is quite good. The dry rides are a few roller coasters, the City of Lost Gold is great, but does not go for long enough for my liking! The wet rides are fun too, you do get wet so be prepared. Then we went over the to the swimming part and the main wave pool was closed the day we went, so we just went in the other wave pool and the river. That was fun enough. We also went on a few water slides which were great.
