La Bodega Kuala Lumpur: Yummy Paellas

    Me and the Gang@La Bodega

A Spanish Restaurant located in the heart of KL ( Jln Tung Shin, near Bukit Bintang )

There's also another branch in Bangsar which has a lounge, bistro....

Good ambience in all the restaurants and can serve different purposes...The Lounge is very relaxing..Can play games and laze on the sofa...Sometimes, there's special performances too...

La Bodega in KL ( Jln Tung Shin ) is more a quaint and has a nice quiet ambience...Jazz singers usually perform here...

Favorite Dish: I LOVED the Paella..!
Paella is basically a Valencian rice dish very well known in Spain and the world over...Originated from the East of Spain...

The traditional Paella is cooked over open fire with a very big pan, with a variety of ingredients ranging from BIG SUCCULENT PRAWNS, chicken, tomatoes, peppers, beans etc.

Ordered Paella ( with Rice ) and another dish with Pasta...Personally, I preferred the Paella ( cooked with Rice ) as you could smell and taste the aromas of all the ingredients mixed together..

Check out the selection of Tapas and Tiramisu too...

    La Bodega: Spanish Tapas

    by Bix10 Written Oct 20, 2007

This is probably KL's most famous and favourite deli. One would normally find the usual faces hanging out here for great food, relaxing place and fabulous drinks. The one I'm referring to is the original La Bodega in Telawi 2 and not the one in Bangsar Shopping Center. I'm not very fond of the latter.

A must try when you're in Bangsar. It opens from Noon to 1am on Monday - Friday and 10am - 1am on weekends.

Favorite Dish: Gambas al Ajillo, Albondigas Saint Climent.

We had our VT Meet at La Bodega at 31 Jalan Tenkat Tong Shih on 2 Sep 2006.

This place is not difficult to find as there is a lot of pubs and restaurants along this street.
They serve excellent tapas. We had chicken, mushroom, eggplant, meatball, prawns tapas. We dip the bread into the delicious sauce of the tapas.
    We had Paella too.

There was live music and some of us were singing along with the singers.

A jug of Sangria at La Bodega

I went to the La Bodega around Changkat Bukit Bintang for Sangria and tapas. They have a good selection of vegetarian and non-vegetarian tapas to suit the taste of the masses e.g paprika, tortilla & seafood served hot & cold. The enviroment is cosy & pleasant with the terracota tiles which line the floors and table top. Apart from tapas, you can also order rice dishes or paella and sweet desserts.

This place used to be non-halal whereby pork tapas was on the menu but now you won't find such dishes. Pity though, the pork tapas was one of my favorites

La Bodega: Authentic Tapas in KL

This is a pleasant restaurant serving authentic tapas in the Bangar area. A great place to sit outside with friends or for a romantic meal.

Favorite Dish: While La Bodega also has a dining room and bistro, I'd opt for the small tapas dishes you can share with a loved one or friends. They have more than thirty tapas dishes, and always some specials ones too. Great South American and spanish wines (and martinis) too.

    La Bodega: Tapas on Tap

by kphstar Written May 10, 2005

The lounge is situated above La Bodega restaurant and bar. It's dimly lit with a great relaxing ambience. As you recline back into one of many lounge chairs you are greeted with an array of fabulous black and white photograghies. And with a certain amount of amazement you will soon notice that some of these shots are of semi naked people. Very unexpected here in KL

Here you can spend the afternoon through to the evening sipping on you Mohitos whilst downing their extensive and delicious selection of tapas food.

La Bodega @ Bangsar: Tapas and sangria

When I crave for something.. I want it like BAD.. and unfortunately *or perhaps fortunately depending on how you look at it*.. its usually for this Spanish inspired finger food called tapas.. and where else would I go but to La Bodega?

Favorite Dish: TAPAS!! Tapas are small portions of foods, both hot and cold and dont forget to request for vinegar & olive oil dip for the bread served.

    Recommended tapas dishes:
    1) Chilli brinjal
    2) Escargot
    3) Tiger prawns
    4) Chicken sausage

White wine sangria makes the perfect accompany for the above ...
