The Apartment: Good food wrapped with fantastic ambience

The restaurant is nicely tucked away on the 1st floor facing the lake. It looks really good in the mornings when the sunlight just brighten up the place. Even at night, the place looks great under dim light with candles. Perfect for a romantic dinner I would say.

Its interior is based on a 'apartment concept' with its clean cut white designs, & even a closet, kitchen, bookshelf & living room.

As for the food, the were some very satisfying dishes. I adore the certain food arrangements as well as the innovative choices in the menu. Staff service is quite good & they are very helpful.

Favorite Dish: I started off with some peking duck crepe rolls. The meat wasn't too hard and it was rather juicy with all the succulent garnishing. I tried the butterflied lemon chicken. The zesty fragrance of lemon was welcoming when I tucked into it. But among all, I think the best dish by far was the t-bone steak. The red-wine sauce was a good finish & the meat was done just right. I had medium-well. =)

As for drinks. They a long lists of imported wines to choose from. I cant really remember the one I ordered though.

A nice restaurant specialised in Fish and other types of seafood. Everything is nice, ambience is good and most importantly, price is reasonable. It's a chain restaurant so you can find in most shopping malls but I frequently visit the one in Suria KLCC.

Favorite Dish: Grilled Platter For One, King Salmon Cajun, Manhattan Flamed Prawns, Seafood Chowder, Tuscan Tiramisu.

Little Penang Cafe is always busy. There are always families there tucking in the authentic nyonya food which is simply delicious. Thank god there was no line the day I was there. The service was swift and efficient, and before you know it, the Pie Tee, Otak-otak, prawn mee were all ready to be slurped up! (Pie tee are canape size pastry cups filled with chopped veggies, egg and meat; otak-otak is fish in a coconut curry sauce steamed in banana leaf; prawn mee had such a rich shrimp taste it felt like a school of shrimps just invaded your mouth...) Yum!

Everything is so inexpensive and delicious here you can come back again and again.

Favorite Dish: The place is perfect for lunch, dinner or just a snack. When I was there I saw some familiies just stopping for some bubur chacha...

Food from the Sunda Island Region around the Sunda Straits, similar and yet very different from Indonesian or Jawa cuisine.
It is one of the many restaurants in KLCC, in fact across the way from Madame Kwans.

Favorite Dish: Opted for Chicken and Beef Rendang, which came with gado gado salad, sundanese yellow rice and relished with octopus. and sweet barley water
The restaurant was not busy as was most of the restaurants in the area on this particular day, so easy and quiet dining and prompt service

about 25 ringitt per personw without additional drinks

A food court in KLCC near the LRT sta which you have to find out. The food is good and lot of variety and the prices are just normal. Most of the tourists are not aware of this food court and always land up in the KLCC Suria shoping centre food outlets which are 4 times costlier.

Chinese Food

KLCC is a great shopping centre at the bottom of the Petronas Twin Towers. The reason I like it here is because it has a great food court. Unfortunatly the food court is on the 3rd floor so you need to pass a large number of stores and the girlfriend is no longer hungry for food.

The variety of food is great with dishes from many countries Thai, Chinese, British, Italian, Middle East, etc. etc. I thought i'd go for some Malaysian dishes and having heard of Nasi Campur I thought i'd try it out. Nasi Campur is rice with a selection of different curries and was soo good, though it was hard to tell which curry i preffered as they all ended up mixed together on my plate. My girlfriend being adventurous went straight to the thai food and got herself chicken with rice and a watermelon shake, which she eats every day living in Thailand.

I also tried some lebanese kebabs which were pretty dam good and some Thai food which unfortunatly was terrible (tasted nothing like proper Thai food).

Margarita Bar, Chilis
1 more image

Chilis, found in KLCC & Midvalley Megamall, is popular to both locals and foreigners. This is an American fanchise serving American portions of western food and jumbo margaritas. There is a margarita bar in the middle for people who come in for a drinks and a quick snack. The atmosphere is quite similar to what you can find in an American bar, dim lights and TV sets strategically placed for patrons to enjoy the latest sports news. Prices are expected for the portions served. You can order typical American dishes e.g fajitas, burgers, steaks and salads. Service is good and fast too

Favorite Dish: Definitely the margaritas!! More often than not, I will order the salads and fajitas

Curry puff

La Cucur, can be found on Lower Ground floor of Suria KLCC or in KL Sentral.
Great place to get your sweets and savories in air conditioning cafe or else in the mall, clean and convenient. Sample some Malaysian kuih (savories) or have a cup of Malaysian teh tarik (pull tea) and a reasonable price.

Favorite Dish: Curry puff is the famous one! Also try Onde-Onde, Kuih Talam or any colourful cakes made of coconut that catch your eye. I guarantee you will like it and you can afford it.
