Chinatown: the shopping deluxe
You can find anything really, from pirated cds to more pirated goods such as handbags, and clothing merchandise. You should always bargain for goods. Don't worry about any language barrier if you speak English. It is the second language and is commonly spoken.

wood handcraft, though it can be rather expensive since Kuala Lumpus is commercialized. You can get this at the Muzium of Art, Pasar Seni, and so forth.

anything from Rm2-20. Of course, dont forget to HAGGLE!

My latest visit to Chinatown in 2006. Much more clean and hardly any DVD sellers. Well, most of them are mobile carrying a folder with latest titles. Honestly, I recommend you do not purchase from them. Half the stuff they have are very unclear copies.

As for other items, Shoes Bags and more available.

    Shoes, Bags, Shirts, Watches, Fruit...

    RM10 onwards

Petaling Street or locally known as PS Boutique is the place to go if you're looking for the "cheap & good" stuff. Stalls selling crafts, bags, shoes & clothes.. Bargain only if you are really interested to buy.

Can bargain about 30% from the price listed.

Chinatown: Don't Miss the Nasi Goreng
S & M Shopping Mall is just across Petaling Street - Kuala Lumpur's very own Chinatown. This is were the locals shop for local goods and apparels. Prices are least expensive. The 4th floor houses a grocery store while on the 5th is their foodcourt.

    My Visit:

Almost all the food stalls were closing when we were at this mall. Luckily, there was one still open and served us Nasi Goreng for just 4.60 ringgit. Tastes great! ;-)
