Craft Cultural Complex, Kuala Lumpur
A huge building located in the popular Golden Triangle shopping area. The landscape is very ethnic as you can see in the photos I posted here taken just in front of the Handicraft Centre. If you crave of something local Malaysian, this is the place for you. Souvenir items that is real Malay can be found here including rattan and bamboo crafts.
What to buy: Buy Batik cloth, shirts and dresses, woodcarving, pottery, silver, and brasswares.
Kompleks Budaya Kraf has an assortment of handcrafted pottery, wood carving, forestry products, textiles, embroidery and metal ware.
The adjacent Muzium Kraf (Craft Museum have a variety of textile, metal craft, ceramic and weaved products. They are pottery making, wood carving, weaving songket cloth, stamping batik patterns on cloth and boat making.
The complex is open to public from 8.45am to 6.00pm daily. There is a shuttle service from the craft centre to major hotel in the city. But were here on the 4th day of Hari Raya and the shuttle service was not available then.
