Plaza Low Yat is Malaysia’s largest IT Mall and is opposite the Capitol Hotel in Butik Bintang. There are 6 floors of everything to do with computers, mobile phones, electronics and after 2 floors it all starts to look the same to me.

There are still bargains to be had here but just be aware that if it sounds too good to be true then it probably is!

    Low Yat Plaza: Generally Electric

by balisunshine Written Mar 10, 2008

If you live on a small island
    or a location where
    electronic goods are limited,
    then the Low Yat Plaza
may be a haven for you.

    There are several floors
    with phones, computers, lap tops,
    accessories, etc available
    all under one roof.

I like DIY computer very much, so I recommend my favourite Low Yat Plaza to all tourists. Please come to KL's computer paradise. LWP is a shopping mall of 6 storeys with top 2 storeys for selling only computers and computer accessories.

What to buy: The 6 storeys shopping complex not only selling computer or computer ralated products, it has other shops too such as this one, for women to spend their boring time when their men gone upstairs for insane computer shoppings.

    Plaza Low Yat

Voted the best IT Mall by readers of HWM Malaysia, Plaza Low Yat is the place to be for anything related to computer software and hardware. Its numerous retail outlets and spacious IT Hypermarket enable shoppers to shop and make their selections in comfort. There is also a 24 hours broadband Internet Cafe (the largest in KL) with 204 terminals and Zen-inspired decor.

IT stuffs apart, Plaza Low Yat also a great place to shop for electrical and electronics products, audio-visual equipment, handphones, gadgets and gizmos etc. For dining pleasure, there are also a few restaurants and cafes in the mall - Sushi King, Coffee Bean, Starbucks and a food court.

What to buy: Anything related to computer software and hardware

Low Yat Plaza - 2nd floor: Welcome to Geekville

I just use the damn things for e-mail and VT - I couldn't care less if the inside of my computer is made of custard, old toilet rolls and Val's old tights, as they used to say on "Blue Peter".

Anyway - if you actually care about such things then this place is geek heaven.

Everything from the very lastest whizz-bang technology to knacked old steam-driven computers appear to be on sale here.
