The Mines: Only a good picture

    by Lyda1973 Written Oct 9, 2006

The Mines was a joke, very very different from what you see in pictures and that what they called "Venecia". The shopping mall sells local goods and local food, except for a K Roggers place (chicken).
We went to Sentral Station and took the train. We had to cross a pedestrian bridge and take a little boat that took us to the mall, is only about 5 minutes, but don’t think is like they say “Venecia”, no!!!, there are only one simple channel that ends into the mall.
Also you can get there by car and take a 15 minutes ride, they say around the mall, but in fact is outside the mall and there is nothing to see unless you have kids and go to the wetland park at night (only at night) in a different ride or “cruise”.

2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness click the link to go to the website. The Mines is a big shopping mall with so many shops, the location is a little bit far from city centre, roughly 35 minutes by taxi, but its big in size, worth going.

Mines Wonderland: Canal in a Mall

    by city_guy Updated Feb 19, 2004

This is the ever famous Mines Shopping Wonderland where they actually built a canal through the centre.

Boat rides are available and the shopping is endless from anything to everything. Located at the Mines Resort out of KL city, it takes around 15 mins to reach there.
