If you have never heard of hashing, this is the time to learn about it. And if you're in the know, this is where it all started.
Hashing was created shortly before World War II by some British expat men who were residing in Kuala Lumpur and grew out of a British schoolboy's racing game called "hounds and hares" (or whatever) that involved following a paper trail. They named their group the "Hash House Harriers" in recognition of the place they lived and ate, affectionately called the Hash House. The popularity (and irreverence) of the sport are such that it has spread globally. There are about 1500 Hash Chapters worldwide.
Hashing is sometimes said to be practiced by drinkers with a running problem. It involves running (or walking) through the jungles and wetlands by following a marked trail. It also involves a "beer check" at the turnaround point. On return to the point of departure, everyone slakes their prodigious thirsts with.... more beer, and then they settle down to a meal at a local eatery.
Hash groups are always ready to welcome newcomers and visitors. Just contact an organizer to get details.
Equipment: Just whatever seems appropriate for running in sticky heat and humidity.

Eventhough its a big city with a lot of concrete and steel someone thought about the peoples health and there are some parks. They are very nice to be in , walk in, jog or practice Ti Chi (don't know spelling :( ).
You can feel as you are no longer in the city (maybe some buildings are still visible but still). Pathway on which you can run or walk is made of a the same thing you will find on stadions so its very comfy. There is a pond so you can feed fishes or turtles while talking with your friends or taking a break. There are also some visible dangers. Those are monkeys. Becareful! Sometimes they get close to the paths (on trees or bridge) and they can jump on you :(. The invisible but hearable danger is moskito. But thats when you go to the park at night (its highlighted so you can do so). You don't want to bring malaria with you back home! Park I went to opens at 7am.
Equipment: Runing shoes will do.

Right in the centre of KLCC, there is gently undulating jogging track around the park in front of the Petronas towers.
It was pretty deserted by about 11AM, but I've no doubt it fills up with eager types in the cooler parts of the day.
