t is a huge shopping center. Located right next to the train and bus services. The shop mix is a bit out of ordinary as it is very localize. Only a few high end branded shop within the shopping center. It is more for general public, family orientated and always crowded especially on weekend.
We visited the Times Square Shopping Complex often during our 5 day holiday. The centre is located opposite our hotel and when we had some spare time we went to the upper levels of this large building. It was here that we found the Theme Park which caters for children and young adults far younger than us.
The Theme Park looked very good from where we were.
This twin tower building contains a luxury hotel and one thousand shops in the other tower.
The photo is taken from our hotel elevator (Melia Hotel) and shows the luxury hotel tower.
We visited the shopping centre often during our stay as it was directly opposite our hotel and we used the monorail station walkway to access the building. We mainly used the centre for money changer, restaurants and cafes, chemist and general browsing.
The shopping centre tower is also the home for entertainment attractions such as Asia's largest indoor theme park, Berjaya Times Square Theme Park (formerly Cosmo’s World Theme Park). We walked past some of the entertainment attractions but did not enter.
We stayed in a small budget hotel right behind Times Square, so this shopping mall became our preferred place for several goods. Debenhams for books, some of the usual chains for a quick coffee and the supermarket in the basement for daily goods such as snacks, water and Guinness. Even though I am not a great shopper, I was impressed by the size of this place. It is one of the world's largest shopping malls (indeed, it shared the title of the world's largest with a Chinese one not long time ago). The building is the 5th largest in the world by ground floor and the largest constructed in just one single phase.
For shoppers, it should be noticed that this place has 10 floors of shops with more than 1000 shops. Further things worth to mention are a 3D IMAX cinema, a 4-star-hotel and an indoor theme park (which is the largest of its kind in Malaysia).
Malaysia's largest shopping mall houses retail lots as well as entertainment & dining facilities. Shoppers will be spoilt for choice with merchandise ranging from stylish & chic apparels, accessories, eyewear, footwear, home equipment, IT appliances & many more. Don't miss a trip to the Cosmo's World Theme Park, Malaysia's largest indoor theme park. The Imax 2D & 3D theatres here are the largest in Southeast Asia & offer an unforgettable viewing experience.
Berjaya Times Square Hotel & Convention Center is situated in the central district and has the distinct advantage of being able to offer shopping, dining and entertainment, all under one roof in Berjaya Times Square shopping complex.
There is an indoor theme park at Berjaya Times Square. While shopping near the theme park, you can sometimes feel the vibrations caused by the rides. The one that is shown here is one of the popular ride. Dare to try?
Berjaya Times Square (BTS) is one of the really largest integrated serviced apartments-cum-hotel-cum-shopping complexes in Malaysia. It is right in the main city area. The main anchor tenant is the British department store Debenhams which occupies four floors at one end of BTS. The centre of attraction inside BTS could be said to be the indoor theme park Cosmo's World with South-east Asia's largest indoor roller coaster - enter at the 7th Floor. Another of BTS' attractions is the Digi IMAX Theatre located on the 10th Floor.
Another cinema company in Malaysia. This one is huge and it's popular with its couple seats. It's pretty empty here in Berjaya Times Square so it's nice to watch any films here.
