t is a huge shopping center. Located right next to the train and bus services. The shop mix is a bit out of ordinary as it is very localize. Only a few high end branded shop within the shopping center. It is more for general public, family orientated and always crowded especially on weekend.

We visited the Times Square Shopping Complex often during our 5 day holiday. The centre is located opposite our hotel and when we had some spare time we went to the upper levels of this large building. It was here that we found the Theme Park which caters for children and young adults far younger than us.

The Theme Park looked very good from where we were.

This twin tower building contains a luxury hotel and one thousand shops in the other tower.

The photo is taken from our hotel elevator (Melia Hotel) and shows the luxury hotel tower.

We visited the shopping centre often during our stay as it was directly opposite our hotel and we used the monorail station walkway to access the building. We mainly used the centre for money changer, restaurants and cafes, chemist and general browsing.

The shopping centre tower is also the home for entertainment attractions such as Asia's largest indoor theme park, Berjaya Times Square Theme Park (formerly Cosmo’s World Theme Park). We walked past some of the entertainment attractions but did not enter.

We stayed in a small budget hotel right behind Times Square, so this shopping mall became our preferred place for several goods. Debenhams for books, some of the usual chains for a quick coffee and the supermarket in the basement for daily goods such as snacks, water and Guinness. Even though I am not a great shopper, I was impressed by the size of this place. It is one of the world's largest shopping malls (indeed, it shared the title of the world's largest with a Chinese one not long time ago). The building is the 5th largest in the world by ground floor and the largest constructed in just one single phase.
For shoppers, it should be noticed that this place has 10 floors of shops with more than 1000 shops. Further things worth to mention are a 3D IMAX cinema, a 4-star-hotel and an indoor theme park (which is the largest of its kind in Malaysia).

Indoor Theme Park at Berjaya Times Square

    by y_lyn Written Apr 6, 2007

Berjaya Times Square Hotel & Convention Center is situated in the central district and has the distinct advantage of being able to offer shopping, dining and entertainment, all under one roof in Berjaya Times Square shopping complex.

There is an indoor theme park at Berjaya Times Square. While shopping near the theme park, you can sometimes feel the vibrations caused by the rides. The one that is shown here is one of the popular ride. Dare to try?

Go and Watch a 3D Movie!

by ZENDER Written Dec 5, 2004

Inside Berjaya Times Square on the 10th floor where there is also a food court to quench your thirst and satisfy your tummy, you can watch and should try to watch a 3D movie in the Digi IMAX Theatre.. Tickets are priced at RM$20 for adults and RM$12 for children (age 1 - 12). If you are a DIGI phone line subscriber, you get a RM$1 - $2 discount off the listed prices.
The screen is huge and if you sit right in the centre of any rows - imagine the sensations - I know -I sat right smack in the centre watching the magnificent Polar Express racing through the cracking Glacier Gulch. Row A to Row H are some of the better rows to get a better sense of the effects of a 3D movie in this IMAX Theatre.

Berjaya Times Square (BTS) is one of the really largest integrated serviced apartments-cum-hotel-cum-shopping complexes in Malaysia. It is right in the main city area. The main anchor tenant is the British department store Debenhams which occupies four floors at one end of BTS. The centre of attraction inside BTS could be said to be the indoor theme park Cosmo's World with South-east Asia's largest indoor roller coaster - enter at the 7th Floor. Another of BTS' attractions is the Digi IMAX Theatre located on the 10th Floor.

This is the other section of the theme park, called Kids World, any toddler would just go nuts there.

Can you notice the roller coaster also making it's way through this section. There's a ton of kiddy rides and stuff to do in the Kids World, Entrance fees is as above. Kids pay RM18.00 but don't forget if you want to accompany your kid in, you'll have to pay as well.

Currently there is a promotion till end 2003 where it cost only RM10.00 for kids and RM20.00 for adults.

When visiting the all new Berjaya TIMES SQUARE shopping mall, do not forget, I repeat...Do not forget to visit the theme park. It has the biggest roller coaster in Malaysia right in the theme park. Eats the Genting and Sunway for breakfast.

The park is super~massive and adults pay RM20.00/ Kids RM10.00 for the park entrance.

The roller coaster looks pretty frightening if you have not sat in one before, and it loops and twirls for 800meters long. Which is also the 'Longest Indoor Roller Coaster in the World'. They have some other 'Thrill Rides' in there as well.

Bring a doggy bag if unsure...

Another cinema company in Malaysia. This one is huge and it's popular with its couple seats. It's pretty empty here in Berjaya Times Square so it's nice to watch any films here.
