Churches, Temples & Mosques: Chinese Temple
  • Tip Rating:
  • The Chinese Temple is just outside of KL on a hill. You have a great view from up there and so much things to see and do at the temple. Outside the temple were many little and some bigger statues and some of them were the chinese zodiac signs.

Churches, Temples & Mosques: Sin Sze Si Ya Temple
  • Tip Rating:
  • THE Sin Sze Si Ya Temple is said to be the oldest Taoist temple in Kuala Lumpur. The temple was founded by Yap Ah Loy, the third Kapitan China (Chinese Leader) of Kuala Lumpur, in remembrance of his mentor who was killed in one of the frequent feuds between the clans at the peak of the tin mining days in KL. It was named “Sze-Ya,” meaning “adviser,” which is a reflection of his mentor’s role as an adviser among his clan. As a tribute to its founder, some spaces within the temple are dedicated to Yap Ah Loy, with his statute sit prominetly in the altars area.

Churches, Temples & Mosques: Masjid Jamek
  • Tip Rating:
  • It was built in 1909 making it KL's oldest mosque. Sits right at the point where two rivers, the Kelang and Gombak rivers, meet - the birthplace of Kuala Lumpur. It features graceful arches and domes reminiscent of the moorish era.

Churches, Temples & Mosques: Chinese Temple
  • Tip Rating:
  • Lawrence took us to the Chinese Temple just outside of KL on a hill. You have a great view from up there and so much things to see and do at the temple. Outside the temple were many little and some bigger statues and some of them were the chinese zodiac signs, so I just had to take a pic of me with the ram, actually I think they call it a goat.
