The Lake Gardens are home to the Bird Park, Butterfly Park, Orchid Garden and Deer Park.
The Deer park is the only one with free entrance so if you are on a budget it's nice to fit this ion with one of the other parks.
The gardens are beautiful tropical gardens and it is easy to roam around or have a picnic here. Do take your own food and water though.
When I walked back to KL Station it wasn't too big a walk - and downhill - and I passed by the National Moasque and Islamic Arts Museum (I didn't have time to visit these) on the way down. Visiting these as well would make a good afternoon's outing.
Deer Park is just across the Bird Park, if I am not wrong the the entrance was very nominal and there are various type of deer in the park. Deer Park also has other different type of animals. If you compare Deer Park with Bird Park, you would be disappointed but still it was great fun.
Not too far from the lake is the deer park....we entered from the bottom of the hill - u can come from near the bird park - then it is at the uphill...
anyway from the foothill, you will see these birds...by husband calls it the koo koo birds...becos it makes the koo kooo sounds....and it really does!!!
and then you walk uphill and you will see a gentle slope and many many deers waiting for feeding!!! some old some young some with broken horn!! and bleeding even!
Near this stream there are some cages which houses really tiny mousedeer - kancil we call them...but you have to look really close to see them - so dark!!
