While every one is gung ho about outdoor theme park do take time to visit indoor theme park. The attractions like eurorail,4D magic are very good. Also the shops are fair in terms of clothes but not so much in terms of food.Do take you water bottle along. As for shopping i bought a jacket there and it was only slightly overpriced as compared to kualalumpur.

Genting Highlands is a world-famous resort that boasts of a huge indoor theme park. A highlight is the Sky Venture, Asia's only free-fall skydiving simulator. Visitors can drive up to the summit where the main resort is located or take a cable car ride to enjoy a panoramic view of the lush rainforest. The resort is a 1.5-hour drive from KL & is easily accessible by shuttle coaches. It can be visited on a day trip although an overnight stay is best to fully enjoy your visit.

The Genting Hotel is a 5-star premier hotel at the Genting Highlands Resort, Pahang, Malaysia. It is the second hotel to be built in Genting Highlands Resort after Theme Park Hotel to cope with the immense volume of people because of the relocation of two casinos which was initially located inside Theme Park Hotel. Along with Resort Hotel and Highlands Hotel, it houses Casino de Genting, one of the main casinos at Genting Highlands Resort along with the Starworld casino in First World Hotel. The top floor houses the Maxim Club, a 6-star hotel.

Hotel Theme Park

The all-new look Theme Park Hotel, the Castle In The Clouds got a great new facade and a grand new look. It displays a spectacular ambience of colour, pomp and pageantry. Grandeur is reflected in its gaily decorated walls where crests and coat of arms extend a grand welcome to guests. And just a brisk walk across the road is the ever-popular Genting Theme Park (outdoor) with its myriad attractions for the young and old alike.

Space Shot, Genting Highlands
2 more images

Genting highlands is a must visit attraction in Pahang state, Malaysia. It is a 2 hour drive from KL. When you reach there, you go up with cable ride to the height of 2000 meters. There, you find some beautiful hotels, a big shopping mall and 2 fun parks, one located indoor and the other one in outdoor space.
I suggest the outdoor fun park, because it has more attractive machines like space shot, cyclone and some others. The admission for outdoor park is 44 RM for adults and you can use your ticket on the day you buy it as many times you like.

Genting highland is located at 2000 metres above sea level, 51 km northeast of kl. You can enjoy a nice cable car ride to reach this resort. You can book a tour from kl central, genting highland resort have office there. If u book ur tour from there its much cheaper than if u go there by ur self and buy tickets for in door or out door entertainment parks, plus u dont have to stand in ques then. They have roller coaster rides, 3d theatre, rock climbing simulator. If u like to make some quick money there is casino there as well thats the only casino in kl or in malaysia perhaps. Its a perfect family resort entertainment for every one.
Normal timings are 7am to 11 pm for cable car , for out door park its from 9 am to 7 pm and for in door theme park its from 9 am till midnight.
Rates are 48 ringgit for both parks for adults, if u r wih family u can have a family package for 154, thats for 2 adults and 2 kids
