A theme park on top of the mountain. Young and old will enjoy the park, the view and the experience. One whole day is enough to enjoy the challenging rides, if you want to explore the place more, there are several hotels in the area. Bring back my memory at 2000, going to Genting Highlands with several buddies, like Yuri and Andrej [actually they're Russian but residents of Rome, Italy]. I visit a temple there, meanwhile the guys go gambling and I just company. On the way home, three of us just suprised, "Shhhhhhhh, can you see that? A car with F1 Ferrari banner and sticker?" I said. And Yura [Yuri's nickname] answered, "Da ... eto Ferrari. Maybe Michael [Schumacher] in there playing Russian Roulette something?" and Andrej commented to us, "Bloody idiot, he must be in the training room at Sepang." During our Educational Trip to Malaysia, we were given free time at Genting Highland Resort. It houses 5 different hotels, a shopping center, an indoor theme park and an outdoor theme park. You can go all out here! All you need is RM 37 and you can ride all the rides you want at the Outdoor Theme Park, with a few exceptions like the Flying Coaster.

Genting Highlands is around 1.5 hours away from KL and situated in a breezy and cool mountain top. Kids can play in their outdoor or indoor theme parks and the adults can play in the casino. Be appropriately dressed for the casino and bring a light jacket.
We managed to watch an entertaining show of acrobats with live operatic singers. The matinee show at 2 pm was 50% off.
The Genting Skyway (cable car) is not to be missed as it is the fastest and highest cable car in Asia or so they claim. You can see green mountains of Genting.
After 6pm and on weekends, the taxis charge premium rates for overtime. They drive pretty fast on the zigzag road. Leave a Comment

Genting highland is located at 2000 metres above sea level, 51 km northeast of kl. You can enjoy a nice cable car ride to reach this resort. You can book a tour from kl central, genting highland resort have office there. If u book ur tour from there its much cheaper than if u go there by ur self and buy tickets for in door or out door entertainment parks, plus u dont have to stand in ques then. They have roller coaster rides, 3d theatre, rock climbing simulator. If u like to make some quick money there is casino there as well thats the only casino in kl or in malaysia perhaps. Its a perfect family resort entertainment for every one.
Normal timings are 7am to 11 pm for cable car , for out door park its from 9 am to 7 pm and for in door theme park its from 9 am till midnight.

If you sick of the hot wheather in Malaysia, proberly you can consider Genting Highlands. Here have cool and windy enviroments. Most malaysian come here are because of the cooling enviroment or gambling. Genting Highlands is popular in casino. In Malaysia, you only can found lisence casino in Genting Highland. Even it attract a lots of Malaysian citizen during school holidays, it also attract numbers of neighbour country's people come to spend thier holidays here.The casino here open business 24 hour. They strictly allow the customer who are more than 21 year old to go into the casino.Besides that, you also can found theme park, magic show,concert,fast food restourant,asian food restorant here. If you got plan to stay in Genting, i suggest you to choose on weekday because the hotel rate is much more cheaper during weekday than weekend and school holidays. Directions: To go Genting Highlands, you can get the bus ticket from Pudu Raya(Bus Station). From Pudu, you can go direct to the Genting Hill. The buses to Genting are quite freqent. its about per hour per bus. The bus ticket is not more than RM10.
