KL Tower, Kuala Lumpur

We didn't go up to the top of the KL Tower as we ran out of time to do everything so this will be on our list for next visit.

I have since found out that there is a Maccas up at the top. Phew!!....glad the kids didn't cotton on to that one!! ;o) Amazing hey!!... eating at the highest Maccas in the world!! :o) As it was the kids ordered Maccas delivery to our hotel as that is a novality ..... Australia doesn't do delivered Maccas.

Anyway....enough of Maccas...... I also hear that the revolving restaurant up at the KL Tower is pretty good so next time we are in KL that is what I plan to do - watch the sun go down whilst eating at the revolving restuarant viewing all of KL from the KL Tower.

The viewing deck of the KL Tower is 276m above the ground and from here you can enjoy uninterupted panoramic views of KL including a superb view overlooking the Petronas Towers.

You can take your time around the Observation Deck and even do an audio tour which is available in 11 languages.

The Seri Angkasa revolving restaurant is one level higher still but you do need a booking to secure a table and the meals here carry a fixed minimum charge.

The KL Tower is the fifth tallest telecommunication tower in the world (after the CN Tower in Canada, the Ostankino Tower in Russia, the Oriental Pearl Tower in China, and the Borj-e Milad in Iran). Built to enhance the quality of telecommunication services and the clarity of broadcasting, KL Tower represents the symbol of Kuala Lumpur.

The KL Tower, or Menara Kuala Lumpur, is the world's fifth tallest structure at 421 meters-high. Visitors can climb Bukit Nanas to access the building and head by lift to the observatory deck on top. Here, there are built-in telescopes that they can use to zoom in on parts of the surrounding city.

The Kuala Lumpur Tower (officially known as Menara Kuala Lumpur; referred later as KL Tower) is a tall tower located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and was built in 1995. It is used for communication purposes and features an antenna that reaches 421 meters (1,381 ft), which currently makes it the fifth tallest tower in the world.

the entrance ticket for adult is RM20, you can walk a round to have a look at the observation hall. Fantastic view of Kuala Lumpur, suggested to go around evening time before sunset, then you can have a day view + sunset + night view of KL.

KL Tower is the 5th tallest tower in the world. This communication tower stands at an 421 metres at the top of Bukit Nanas.

There is a revolving restaurant, Seri Angkasa, which has an observation platform that provides a bird's-eye view of KL City.

Entrance fee is RM 20 for adults. (We didnt pay to get to the top of the tower)

There is a new telecommunication tower near Mid Valley. This blue building is very impressive too.

The KL Tower is a 421m high telecommunications and broadcasting tower which actually appears to be taller than the Petronas Towers, because it is built on a hill. Amidst the city of Kuala Lumpur stands the Menara Kuala Lumpur at 515m above sea level

Menara Kuala Lumpur ranks fourth amongst the tallest telecommunications towers in the world and was constructed over a period of four years and completed in May 1996. Menara Kuala Lumpur is designed to withstand wind pressures of up to 90mph.

Spend a languid afternoon at Menara KL and you'll basically be introduced to a day in the heart of KL courtesy of Menara KL ie shopping and eating! Enter, admire the intricate glass Muqarnas architecture. Take one of the four express elevators to the top and take in the view at the Observation Deck. Then move up one floor for chic dining at the Revolving Restaurant.

Since we couldn't get on the Skybridge on Monday, we decided to go up to KL Tower instead. With the extremely simplified tourist map, we walked a long long way from Petronas Twin Tower to KL Tower, a long way along the carriageway, then a short hiking trip in a small forest... ... On our way back, we realized that there's a shorter official path to get up to KL Tower. In addition, they provide a shuttle bus service from the bottom of the slope. If we could find that route on the map, we wouldn't need to hike under the sun in the mosquito breeding forest~!!!

Therefore, to avoid unnecessary walking or hiking, ask the locals before your go. (It's really unfortunate that we couldn't see any local pedeatrians on the way along the carriageway...)

Admission fee = RM15, with an audio tour included. The view from the Tower is different from the Skybridge. You can look further from KL Tower.

There was a wonderful view from the top of this tower. This 421m high solid tower is proudly Asia's tallest and the fourth tallest in the world. Malaysians are very proud of that fact and why not. One can enjoy a high-quality view of the city either from its watching deck as well as from the revolving restaurant. The tower is also in use for the transmission station for radio, television and other telecommunications.
