We're not allowed to go up there and visit the Monument itself instead the guide let us see the garden that most of the Asian countries contributed a flowers in the garden before you go up the Monument....So, the photo was taken in that area..KL has realy very pretty tree branches and are very green..So, you can see the result!

The monument is a bronze sculpture built to commemorate men of the armed forces in their strength, unity, bravery and sacrifice for the country during the Emergency period between 1948-1961. The period which the Malay armed forces joined with the British against insurgence of communists in the country. Constructed in 1966, the 15.54-metre high bronze statuary depicts seven men from the Malayan security forces symbolizing the seven qualities of leadership. A moat filled with fountains and ornamental water-lilies surround the entire structure.
Just below the National Monument is the ASEAN collection of prize-winning SCULPTURE GARDEN where a sculpture by some of the finest artists in the ASEAN region is displayed within a landscaped garden.
