VT Meet in KL at La Bodega on 2 Sep
    4 more images

I have many friends on my list who are from KL and I have never got the chance to meet up with them in KL. And finally, we decide to drive 5 hrs to KL just for this VT Meet to give a surprise to Rita and Paul.

We met at La Bodega at for some great tapas. We head to San Fransico Coffee for our Part II. We even created a travel map and rita has the honour to keep it. And we went for some good Wanton Mee at the roadside stall in front of Allson Genesis and left about 2am.

Those who attend are: muddybok + li ping, jenniferchin, airasia, xingfa, lukluk_wal_marjan, kishore7, l_joo, Guantanamera, NiZMaN, megadragon, imstress + basil, edachsund

Thank you for your hospitality! We will be back again.

He he he he...they were all our foreign guests to this VT Meet @ La Bodega organised by Jenniferchin on Sep 2nd, 2006.

Paul (Guantanamera) & Rita (Xingfa) from Guangzhou; Jen (Imstress) & hubby who drove up from Singapore to surprise Rita; Lee the new VTer from Holland using ID megadragon....errrr....am yet to find his homepage though! Cant find the name using the search bar!

Anyways, the turn up was good as I also able to meet other KL VTers that I havent met before i.e. I_joo, airasia, NiZMaN, edachsund & Li Peng. Other attendees were kishore7, muddybok & the organiser herself - Jenniferchin! Oh Yes....Fred Siwak ( PALS ) art was also at this VT Meet.

After a 'go Dutch' dinner at La Bodega, we adjourned for coffee at San Francisco Coffee @ Lot 10. Except for eda, li peng, kishore & I_ joo who left early, all others were at SFC for our one crazy moment remembering our geography lesson trying to create a new 'VT MAP'.....hahahaha (check out 3rd pic for the MAP....well.....if it can be called a map)

We really enjoyed our selves and only left about 12.30 midnite.

1st bye-bye & hugging - ladies only - session was infront Replica Inn where Paul & Rita are staying & the last was somewhere infront Allson Genesis Hotel when Jennifer, Jen & hubby, dragon & bok decided to have another round of eating!

I leave the group & safely at home about 1 am.

    *SIGH* What a great nite!!!!

    1st pic (from L - R):
NiZMaN, megadragon, Imstress, Imstress's hubby, Li Peng, Rita, myself with PALS's art, muddybok, edachsund & jenniferchin

    2nd pic (from L-R):

I think if you come to KL it should be a must of the things you do here to meet up with some VT`ers from KL. I`m sure many people will agree with me that the VT`ers here is excellent and for me meeting up with the VT`ers in KL was the highlight of my trip.

When Rowena wants to taste real local food

    After a sumptous lunch....

A bit extraordinary, this meet was organised in the afternoon of April 1st 2006.

Jointly organised by yours truly with chiabh, we brought Rowena to Gerai Pak Lang in the famous eateries in Kampung Baru.

It was a good meet, at a good price paid by my guest- the ever gentleman Mr. Jimmy and of course delicious food. Attendees were my self (and my guest - Jimmy), chiabh (and diana) and the guest of honour cuppadamoksha

Then there is Benjamin and Kay comparing picture taking skills?
Debbie smiling on so sweetly. Did Benjamin and Kay took her picture?

    My Eighth KL VT Meet - 13 August 2005 - 1

by masonwong Updated Aug 13, 2005
    VTers chatting in all directions...

    Time: 7.30pm
    Venue: Passage Thru India

I went to pick up Audrey118 at 7.05pm from her house, and we headed to kenyneo's office to pick him up. On our way to the restaurant, it was very "adventurous". Audrey118's mobile phone line turned "super hot". Lost VTers kept calling her to clarify this and that. The two lost souls in the car relied on her for the directions. Everytime she answered a call, we went to the wrong way out of two, because she lost concentration on the roads! We went round and round to nowhere but in the end, we managed to find our way to the restaurant, where many VTers were already there at the long table: petertktan, jenniferchin, Quero, Sam _I_am, chiabh, Diana, p_yenyen, Debbie, kaplan, Kaynisa and dragontml. Then JamesWtc came. Then yurijade and Strom_Rider arrived. Then kenboy who skipped his hiking plan turned up in his hiking attire! The dinner went on with food waiting... chatting and laughing... signing on a card... passing dishes... switching places... taking pictures... It was also kenyneo's birthday, and Audrey118 baked a home-made cake for him. We sang birthday songs for him as well as Audrey118 whose birthday was just 2 days ago. The dinner ended with farewell hugging and hand-shaking from Quero and Sam_I_am, as they're shifting to Thailand next week. We're going to miss both of you!

Uh... my shots didn't work out that well tonight. Next time I'll take better shots ok, VTers? ;-)

    Sacrifice to the carnivor....

    The leftover...

The rule is that, after the dinner, to show we're happy with the food, fold the banana leaf inwards, while to express we're not happy with it, fold the leaf outwards.

If I leave the leaf open...? I want a banana split. Kidding.

    My Seventh KL VT Meet - 13 May 2005 - 1

by masonwong Updated May 14, 2005
A long conference table & contract...

    Venue: Gloria Jean's, KLCC
    Time: 8.30pm

jenniferchin called for this meet, as Quero was back from her long "world tour"... long enough until she couldn't recognise me! It was a raining day, and I was late for about 15 minutes. jenniferchin, Kaynisa, mizzzthanggg, kaplan and friend Debbie, muddybok, hez28 and fashionapple from Pakistan were already there forming a "VT circle" when I arrived. Then JamesWtc and dopey_ping turned up, followed by Quero and Sam_I_am. Then Sharon's turn. Audrey118 came last and I thought that was all... But we got a surprising guest - mylife from Oman! ...who approached us and asked if we were VTers (thanks to savitha who informed him about the meet). We then decided to have dinner at Madam Kwan's (again...).
