    petronas twin towers, klcc

I've just heard from the relevant people that lately there have been "tour guides" that offer tourists cheap tickets to go up to the Sky Bridge at the PETRONAS Twin Towers. They get a group of tourists together, then go off to fetch the tickets and charge these tourists something like RM10 per ticket. Please remember THE TRIP UP TO THE SKY BRIDGE IS FREE!! You just have to go and get the tickets from the counters which open at 8.30 a.m. The view isn't THAT brilliant from the Sky Bridge because you are behind glass and it's not really very high up at Level 41, but hey.. it's free and you get to see the building inside.

Unique Suggestions: Tickets may run out fast since there's a limit of 1400 people up to the Sky Bridge per day so go early and be prepared to wait. Group tours are timed (I think 8.30 - 10.30 a.m. and 2.00 - 4.00 p.m.) and restricted to 20 people per session. But again... it's free, so don't complain too much huh.

Fun Alternatives: I wouldn't say not to go at all, it's nice that you can see an overview of the KLCC Park and the surrounds but if you want a better view of the KL city skyline you may want to go up the KL Tower instead. There is a revolving restaurant there with a wide variety of food which sucks, however. You can also get McDonald's but the food is not much better actually.

But with the KL Tower, you have to pay. The Sky Bridge is free...!

Lately there has been "tour guides" offering tourists cheap tickets to go up to the Sky Bridge at the PETRONAS Twin Towers.

    Modus operandi
~ Get a group of tourists together,
~ then go off to the counter to obtain tickets then
~ charge these tourists something like RM5 - RM10 per ticket.

Viewing from the Sky Bridge is FREE!!!!
Just go and get the tickets from the counters which open at 8.30 a.m.

But let me say the view isn't that exciting. and its only at level 41. However its fun.
There is a limit to the number of people allowed up there.

Unique Suggestions: Just get there by 830am.

Well, everybody has to visit petronas bridge at least once in their life but actually there's nothing special in it except the long queue and limitation of how many person allowed to go up there each day.

Unique Suggestions: Go early on weekend, at least at 7.30 to stand in line (ticket box opens at 08.30)

Fun Alternatives: Take a picture of Twin Tower from under is always interesting and at night is more.

Some ppl from Chinatown markets brings products such as watch, bags etc and pretend as if its all branded ones and they stole it from stores in the petronas towers. Pls make sure you are not fooled by this act. Actually I was one of those victims who bought a Rado watch for RM100 and found that the same watch was available at the chinatown for RM10. BE CAREFUL YOU NAIVE TORUIST!!!

Sky-bridge is not worth your time.

It's not a real trap, but be careful and spend your time more wisely.Although it's really cool to be in a tower of more than 80 levels, it really doesn't worth standing in line and wait to see its view over the city.

Fun Alternatives: You can use shops and restaurants nerebye.

    Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

We all know the Petronas Twin Towers is the tallest building in the world, and a lot of tourists want to get to the top of the building for an unique experience. The truth is that you are not allowed to go all the way to the top, but only to the bridge joining the two towers (which is less than half the height). Do be careful as there are only LIMITED visitors allowed per day, so go early to the basement and get your tickets ! If not, you trip there may be wasted as tickets get snapped up very quickly. Anyway, you can always go shopping at the tower's shopping centre, or take some fantastic photos of the building from the outside :)

Twin Tower sure is one of the best tourist traps in KL. The other tower was built by Samsung and the other by some group of companies with Dutch coordination (I was told :). The first mentioned had no problems while construction while the other one caused some scary moments..

  • Get there early for tickets

by BiznessGuy Written Apr 7, 2007 7 reviews

Yes, the ticket office opens at 0800, but people queue up much earlier than that. So, if you do NOT want to aimlessly wander around the KLCC for hours, get there EARLY for the 0800 tickets, and you'll be out of there quickly. Really, the skybridge is nice and neat and all, but, really not a big deal.

    Beware of Taxi

by mickeymousy Updated Oct 26, 2008 6 reviews

During night time there are lots of bad taxi drivers that may take advantage of you since you are a foreigner. They do not want to use the taxi meter instead ask for a fixed price which are usually 50-100% more than usual.

Unique Suggestions: Try to ride on a company taxi (usually colored yellow)

Fun Alternatives: If you have a friend in KL, just tag along with them
