 | Kuala Lumpur Buses & Coaches Reviews | Tips 61 - 70 of 117 | | I can see buses plying around the city of Kuala Lumpur but I cannot recommend to use because they are a bit uncomfortable based on my observation. If you are a tourist, use a taxi or a tour bus for fixed and affordable rates and for a convenient journey. For airport coach bus coming from KLIA to KL Central, express bus runs every half an hour starting at 5:00AM with RM10 for a one-way trip. Theme: Bus |
KL Hop-On Hop-Off double decker bus was introduced since 2007. It is a bus that brings you around the city to almost all the main attractions in Kuala Lumpur. Passengers can hop on and off the bus at any of the 22 designated stops that are near to tourists attractions and major hotels. There is a guide on the bus giving you brief introductions of the places. Tickets can be bought online, on the bus, travel agents, or at major hotels. Ticket is valid for 24 hours. I think this is a convenient way for tourists who are not familiar with the confusing roads of KL. You don't have to be worried about which bus to take to your destinations. KL Hop-On Hop-Off covers all, well, almost. Price: RM38(Adult) , RM160 (For a group of 5 persons), RM16 (Senior, Children, Disabled), Free (Children Below 5) Operating Hour: Everyday from 8:30am to 8:30pm, buses run at 30 minutes Interval. Now, Star Shuttle offers a one-way bus trip from Kuala Lumpur's Low-Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT) to Subang Parade Shopping Centre at a fare of 9 Malaysia Ringgits. From Subang Parade, walk out and board a taxi to Subang Airport which costs 11 Malaysia Ringgits. From the bus stop outside Malaysia Airlines' Hadquarters in Subang, you can board Metro Bus or RapidKL Bus U82 to KL Sentral Station at a fare less than 3 Malaysia Ringgits. Leave a Comment |
THERE IS NO NEED TO TAKE A BUS UNLESS YOU ARE GOING TO SOMEWHERE AROUND KL, SAY THE BATU CAVES AND ZOO NEGARA. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE SOME CHANGE AS THE DRIVER DOESN'T HAND OUT ANY CHANGE. IT'S FAIRLY CHEAP, RMO.5 FOR A 20 MINUTES RIDE. Leave a Comment Theme: Bus |
This is a new service. The LRT is running shuttle buses to get people to/from the LRT startions and this is a big help! If you are staying in the Bukit Bintang area and want to get to KLCC, walking might mean pushing it a bit too much (its not very near). Going Via Taxi could mean parting with 8-10 ringits, and going via train means changing trains in order to land at KLCC. Neither of these options are as good as taking the LRT shuttle. The buses are brand new, airconditioned and u cant miss them with the LRT logo. From Bukit Bintang area u can catch a LRT bus (i think it was 116) that will take you directly to KLCC. The bus can be taken from its 'Starhill Galeria' stop (band in front of Marriott Hotel /Starhill Galeria, or the next stop which is diagonally across Lot10 shopping mall, opoosite the Pizza Hut restaurant (Jln Sultan Ismael and Jln Bukit Bintang junction). Fare for the day is 2 ringits and u can re-se you ticket as many times as u like as long as it is on the same day! You can also use the same ticket for other routes of the Rapid KL City Shuttle Bus. How convenient is that? Link: http://www.putralrt.com.my/rapidbus_cityshuttle.htm Theme: Bus |

Took 7.30am Sri Maju coach from Golden Mile Complex (Singapore) to Puduraya (Kuala Lumpur) through Tuas. Paid S$27.00 with fuel tax (1 way). Was given a bottle of Mineral Water. Rest-stop at Yong Peng at 10.00am for about 30 minutes for toilet/meal break. Reached KL at after 1.30pm. The coach did not go into the bus terminal as it was heading to Genting. It stopped across the road from Puduraya bus station. Almost all the passengers were confused. We crossed 2 roads to go to the bus station to book our trip back to Singapore. The bus station was noisy & confusing. The various sales agents all start to crowd around & persuade you to book through their counter. We finally decided to book through Konsortium & paid M$63.00 for a 18 seater coach. Their pick up point from KL is at Pasar Rakyat. Was given a bottle of Mineral water, potato chips & a small packet of peanuts. Left KL at 10.30pm. There is only a toilet stop. Arrived at Golden Mile before 3.00am as there was hardly any traffic at the late hours. |

A very popular thing to do seems to be to take an organised city tour by coach. Unless you have trouble walking, I really would not recommend this. The traffic in KL is very heavy, so if you choose a half day tour either the beginning or the end of your tour will be in very heavy traffic, which sometimes barely moves. Try to find an alternative to getting around. Use the monorail and then take a short walk to the various sights. This is a much better way of seeing the city and getting a feel for the sites and sounds of KL. Leave a Comment Theme: Other |
