Alternative Way to LCCT

Bandar Tasik Selatan Station, Kuala Lumpur

There is no direct train between KL Sentral and Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT). KLIA Express provides an alternative way to reach LCCT with the combination of Train and shuttle bus.

You can catch the train either in KL Sentral (RM12.50), Bandar Tasik Selatan (RM10.80), or Putrajaya/Cyberjaya (RM5.50) stations.

First, you buy a ticket at the counter at the respective station. They will give you two tickets,a train ticket and a bus ticket. You enter and exit the train platform using the train ticket.

Second, when you reach SALAK TINGGI, you have to get off the train and exit. Once you exit the train station, you will see the shuttle bus waiting outside the station. They will ask for your bus ticket.

Pro: It is not crowded in the train and coach. The service is better than taking the Skybus.
Con: You have to make the transfer between train and coach. If you have many luggage, it is not suitable to travel this way.

Bus between Airport Terminals

To get from the Low Cost Carrier Terminal at Kuala Lumpur to the Kl International Terminal, there is a "green shuttle bus" that in 2007, cost the cheap price of 1.50rm one way. You have to take your luggage on board with you. They arrive & depart every 30mins. The trip is 20kms. The Information centre at the terminal can help you with directions of where to catch it.

This is the second quickest way that will get to to KL from the airport. The train inside is just the same as KLIA Expres, but it is quite cheaper as it makes four stops on the way to KL Sentral. A return tickest costs 49 ringit and the trip takes 38 minutes.

Inside the KLIA train

Travel from airport to city by cab can be expensive. Instead try and use the high speed train system. You reach city center in 28 mins flat. Its comfortable, fast and cheap.

KL Monirail lies in city centre. It connects KL Sental and Titiwagsa. The tourism spot Bukit Bitang is recommeded.

We lived in Istana hotel and the location was close to Raja Chulan.
