The KL LRT service is fantastic for quickly getting around KL, if it serves the area you want.

It is fast, frequent, cheap and very easy to use.

KL have one of the most efficiant network of Mono Rails and LRT (3 companies operating on different routes)
Cost 1.2 to 2 RM depending on distances, and covers entire city

Going around in Kuala Lumpur is convenient with the LRT (Light Rail Transit) system. There are 3 lines: Star, Putra, and KL Monorail. For detailed information including maps, see the website.

Wait at the LRT station in KL

Wait for a while, not that long...Every 2 to 3 minutes or so, you'll get to onboard the LRT trains & ready to do some sightseeings along the way to your intended destinations...

Light Railway Transit in Kuala Lumpur

It is very convenient. It is faster than taking taxi when LRT covers your destination. It is pity the network of LRT is not wide enough now. But I hope it will grow.

The PRT and LRT systems are inexpensive and efficient. You can hop on the elevated rail directly from the new train station to your destination.
