  • yeah, i know. this should be on LRT thingy. but, for the interests of clicker-happy visitors who might want to have KL skyline view from LRT stn, Stn Wangsa maju offers the best. it is on PUTRA LRT route.

    you could see the main skyscrapers outlining KL horizon. ...will try to upoad the pix later

  • CHEAP AND EASY TO GET AROUND BY LRT TRAINS( ESPECIALLY THE PUTRA LINE)
    IT'S CLEAN AND IT RUNS EVERY 10 MINUTES.

    Going around in Kuala Lumpur is convenient with the LRT (Light Rail Transit) system. There are 3 lines: Star, Putra, and KL Monorail. For detailed information including maps, see the website.

    It is very convenient. It is faster than taking taxi when LRT covers your destination. It is pity the network of LRT is not wide enough now. But I hope it will grow.

    The frequency for the Putra LRT seems to be within 5 minutes even during off peak hours, so it has been quite a convenient tool for transportation for us around KL.
    Most of the attractions were within walking distance (maybe within 15 minutes) of the nearest LRT station, though some major shopping malls would be out of reach and a cab would have to be taken to reach the final destination (malls like Mid Valley Mega Mall and One Utama).

    The monthly travel card is only RM70 for Putra LRT or STAR LRT. Or both for RM125. The card also enable you to bring your spouse and up to four children (age below 15) during weekends/public holidays.

    This is one of the major transportation and the most convenience transport in Kuala Lumpur.

    It doesn't have access to all the area in Kuala Lumpur, but it access the major area such as KLCC, Masjid Jamek, etc.

    It is also one of the longest driverless railway system in the world.

    Avoid travelling during 8-9 morning and 5-7 evening weekday. It is very crowded!
