From the airport, you can take the local dhoni to the city of Male. The ride takes around 15 mins and the boats keep going quite late. The ride costs 1 USD per person. Also, they have a tv monitor on the street, where you can see your flight status.

Being Male an island, and being Male airport located on a separate island (Hulule), it's necessary a dhoni to get there. Dhonis, which are nothing else than local falt-botoomed boats, leave from a jetty near arrivals. To reach Male, which is 10 minutes away, it costs either 1 dollar or 10 rufias one way. Boats leave about every 15 minutes - normally when one is full.

Approx $70 pp, flight lasted approx 30 minutes.
Never been in a seaplane before, was expecting it to be bumpy and umcomfortable, oh boy was I wrong!
IT was the best aircraft ride I have ever had! I thoroughly enjoyed it.. My view was partially obstructed by another passenger, but they were kind enough to lean back a few times to enable me to get some superb snaps.
