The main restaurant

by singaporecherry

Food serve in this resort is good. Is included in the package. In Maldives, there are different types of meal offered. All Inclusive refers to 3 meals plus 2 snack. Include drinks, beer and wine (exclude premier brand) in the restaurant and bar. Mini bar soft drinks is included but not the miniature beer in the fridge. There is a bar where we can sit and drink anytime till 12 midnight. We spend lots of time there, drinking and watching fishes swimming by in the water. Occassionally stingray can be seen gliding past. No Specific dish.

A Special moment

by Dambulla

Don't think your jurney on boat will be always the same...you have a lot to do and lot to expect! After a good fishing session (better in the morning), why don't you start thinking of the luch time..? Your Chef has a various culinaire proposals althrough there is fish everywhere! No matter: you will appreciate each meal each day. The group should only work to prepare the table and share the delights with a wonderful panorama behind.

Every Island: All Inclusive

by weekaiser101

Being where the Maldives is ,means they import evrything from abroad bar fish and coconuts. This means that everything is a lot more expensive especially food and drink.I would always reccommend going all inclusive if your island does that kind of deal, you will save your self a fortune on soft drinks alone

Beach Bar Kurumba: Lunch bar on Kurumba

by feag

Lunch menu - KurumbaThe pizzas are big enough to share so only order one!The toasted sandwiches come with bread rolls and salad and we found sometimes just sharing those were enough after a big breakfast! The garlic bread they do is gorgeous but not on the menu (you need to ask they dont mind)They do most things in a sandwich if you ask what you want! The ice creams are lovely too! dont miss them! The Pizzas!

Main Buffet Restaurant: Kurumba Buffet Restaurant

by feag

We went half board on Kurumba and the main buffet restaurant was lovley. The food was great. They catered well for Vegetarians too.If you want to try out the other restaurants ieitalian, chinese, arabic, indian etc, then you can do and get a 30% discount if you are half board or a.i.Some who were on b&b said they wished they had done half board and ate in the buffet restaurant as they loved the food there. This main buffet restaurant has a themed night each evening so you can sample the meals from the other restaurants. They also do a Maldivian evening on the beach. It is great. We are both Vegetarian and loved the Italian night and the pasta and pizza they did that night, but every night and every themed meal was gorgeous.

Club Rannalhi restaurant: Quite reasonable

by trisanna

I know i mentioned the restaurant before, but i wanted to say the service is very attentive at this resort. When you get to the restaurant-they reserve you a table that's yours throughout your stay. I first thought this was a little silly, but learned to like this system. We had a very friendly waiter, who was quite impressived that we would rather have the Maldivian curries over the pasta. They are quite spicy. Your last night there, they decorate your table in colored rice. Either writing in English "see you next time" or the equivalent in Italian. We were there over Easter and they had lots of colored eggs and treats. Also, they have a coffee house/bar that over looks the beach.

Wonderful food

by mnath

The food at Makunudu is extremely good. There is a good variety of food, with a breakfast and lunch buffet and usually a set evening meal, which has two options for each course. There is also a couple of BBQs held each week - one on the Maldivian evening, which also has the staff playing music and dancing. On top of meals, there is afternoon tea and late morning tea (with lovely cake) and the option to order toasties with chips. Lovely cocktails too - try the 'Paradise'. Favourite dishes were the Thai Green Curry and any of the BBQ food. Desserts were delicious and the food was NOT at all repetitive.

Dandhahelu II: Floating Restaurant

by BarbaraForza

Having had the pleasure to spend an unforgettable experience in Maldives I would suggest you to enjoy a saphari boat, which offer you the possibility to have your meals on board, in a relaxing atmosphere and ...what a panoramic view! We bought something in Male before starting this saphari boat, but most of the time the guys on the boat cooked some fresh fish.

bathale restaurant: at bathala island

by call_me_rhia

There's only one restaurant on Bathala, with sand on the floor, so that you never need to wear shoes - and the meals it serves are all buffet style. I had heard it before: the fish is never exceptional in the Maldives: confirmed! I only really liked uncooked tuna fish. The restaurant's curries were really good, in general, as well as the other western dishes. What made the difference, however, were the sweets... unbelievably delicious - and plenty of them!
