A good number of people who travel to the Maldives take advantage of the spectacular underwater scenery by way of snorkeling or scuba diving.The snorkeling is magnificent. Every resort has a "house reef" that is home to hundreds of kinds of animals ranging from colorful little reef fish of the type you see in aquariums to stingrays, moray eels, parrotfish, triggerfish, unicornfish and other sea creatures.The diving is even better than the snorkeling in terms of the kinds and variety of marine life you can see, with the added possibility of doing night dives to spot nocturnal fish.
