The coral reefs are a peculiarity of this region.Corals are some of the delicates creatures of the nature.On the seabed, a splendid world of the corals spreads.Coral reefs are formed by microscopically small polyps that secrete lime and build a reef. The corals are very fragile. Only few grow until 20 or 30 cm. annual. The form of a reef is shaped following the depth and the nature of the seabed. Maldives still possess untouched coral reefs.However, those now are in the fear, because of the many tourists this arrival on these islands.

The turquoise watercolour fits very well into the quiet atmosphere of the shore. Around, get along numerous palms, flowers and lights. To day and in the night, one can swim undisturbed there and one can relax. The swimming pool is illuminated in the night and is an attraction for the many tourists, who come, here in order to drink a cocktail in the bar on the shore or only to have a rest.

The green colour of the trees passes very well with the blue of the heaven, the turquoise of the sea and with the white of the sand.The palms offer a pleasant and much refreshing shade.On the northern islands of Maldives was created palm plantations, otherwise the palms grow wildly.On the most islands settled the screw palm (Pandanus).All these coconut palms are very important for the natural equilibrium of the islands.

The connection of the ocean with the sun is a miracle of the nature that is to be observed on the Maldives.In the early one can observe the beautiful sunrise, and one believes that the sun comes out from the sea.The whole day the sun shines in the sea and in the evening is swallowed by it.It is a peaceful activity to observe this phenomenon.
